Hidden Gems: Meet Nicole Clark of Inspired Family Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Clark.

Hi Nicole, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I decided to become a Chiropractor when I turned 20 after Chiropractic care changed my health. I was a sick kiddo, and after a breast cancer scare at 18, I realized that I needed to make changes and take ownership of my health back. Chiropractic was the gift that allowed me to do that and impacted my life in more ways than one. I ended up working for that Chiropractor and decided to pursue it as a career. I went to back to school and graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree by 26 years old. I then opened Inspired Family Chiropractic within six months of graduating, and now run once of the biggest pediatric and prenatal Chiropractic centers in my community. It was scary and exciting, and lot of responsibility to take on so young, but we are still standing almost five years later and it’s all been more than worth it. Inspired has defined so much of my life, and has given me purpose and a beautiful life more than I would have ever imagined.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! Opening a business in California was tough. I had 4 months of permitting delays that delayed my opening, about 50k worth of build out expenses that were not estimated for, and had a big overhead without knowing anyone in a brand new community. I didn’t pay myself personally for almost the first two years of being in practice. It was a huge financial responsibility that even all the preparation couldn’t have prepared me for. I got divorced in the mix of that, and then COVID hit 2 months later. Inspired has not only made it through some big struggles, but so much of that journey has helped defined a very beautiful and sacred space. We have a very special culture, we see a lot of people, and who I am now as the doc in this practice is 100% because of all the bumps in the road.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a neurologically based Chiropractor that specializes in pediatric, prenatal, and postpartum care. The technique I practice is very specific and gentle called Torque Release Technique, and I’m apart of a small percentage of Chiropractors that practice it exclusively in Southern California. We also have one of the largest pediatric Chiropractic offices in Santa Clarita. I’m certified in the Webster technique which is specific care for our pregnant mamas, and I have specific training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, as well as The Pediatric Experience which is the leading clinical training platform in Chiropractic. Our brand is inclusive, we see and love everybody. At any given time, we have kiddos running through our office, and love that this is a safe space for families to experience healing together. I have an incredible team that leads alongside me, and serves our community so well. I’d say what sets us apart is how we love on our people. What we do and the results we get is an incredible thing, but it’s the culture of the office that makes people feel seen and loved. That’s what makes Inspired so special.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I love seeing people live their best. I always say both my personal and professional mission is to see humanity thrive. Whether its people gaining freedom in their health in my office, or my personal circle growing into better versions of themselves, I live for it. I have a golden retriever that brings joy and light to my life, and an amazing community of friends and family as well. I love to travel, to wine and dine, and explore new coffee shops everywhere I go!
