Falynn Essix is a creative force bred in Detroit, MI whose style was inspired by both her Grandmother’s impeccable taste in fashion and 46 years established & operated interior design company. With an early introduction to the importance of texture, design and structure, Falynn always had a passion for architecture and creative arts. After spending years developing products and services for tech and high-end retailers in corporate and start-up environments, Falynn discovered her interest for creative direction, luxury brand styling and home organization. This led Falynn into creating a safe space for young professionals to express themselves through their customized tailored wardrobe and home rebrand. Her impressive background in the fashion industry as a Creative Director, Merchandiser, Sales Associate, and Stylist has allowed Essix to cultivate a rich network of resources and relationships, aiding her to use her talents and education to build a powerful business hence, The Essix Experience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say there’s been a healthy balance. Throughout establishing relationships in the industry, we took awareness to the reality that most successful people have the similar roadblocks- Time constraints, space management issues and too many material possessions to manage. All have a desire to spend more time doing the things they love with the people who they feel most supported by but the simple life tasks can create boundaries. The Essix Experience focuses on solutions.

We’ve been impressed with The Essix Experience, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Essix Experience is an all-inclusive team of contracted consultants who specialize in luxury wardrobe styling, home/commercial organization and personal assisting services. The purpose of T.E.E is to provide peace of mind and empowerment to clients who have been overwhelmed by their space or possessions. We offer a strategic solution to space management & daily functionality through organizing, packing/unpacking, and downsizing. Providing clients a hands-on approach to automation by facilitating vendors, purging with intention and introducing products and workflow methods to enhance their aesthetics. This ultimately reduces the client’s time doing what they have to do and aims to focus on the possibilities of what they can do.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Change is inevitable & risks bring growth. We are actively taking our biggest risk to date. We have started to develop a uniquely designed product line of household goods that will accompany the functionality of every client’s needs. Utensil holders, multipurpose drawer bins, stationary sorters, wardrobe & product organizers are some of our desired first releases. As we cater to a high-end clientele, it was important to consider luxury lifestyle, quality & sustainability. Currently, we provide shopping lists of other retailers who provide similar but less efficient alternatives validating the need for the expansion into product. We are currently bringing on investors to assist in acquiring inventory, rebranding of the marketing structure and budget for hiring a team.
