Hidden Gems: Meet Amy Luck of SWS Vintage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Luck.

Hi Amy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you for having me today! I’m the creator behind SWS VINTAGE. We are an online based vintage store. I’ve always had a keen eye for fashion, design and textiles. My first ever fashion job was in high school at Hollister, folding clothes.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I can’t recall a time where it has ever been smooth. Sourcing is 24/7 job. Each month, we launch 2-3 themed collections consisting of a handful of carefully selected vintage pieces. Since SWS Vintage is quality-focused, we have a limited number of pieces that we are able to bring to a collection.

Over time, we’ve learned what types of items/collections do well at the shop. One of our top-selling collections is vintage Chanel. That’s a whole other game! The market demand for vintage Chanel has increased dramatically because of its quality and iconic styles. My team and I work to source vintage Chanel items from all around the world to make sure we bring the best of the best to SWS Vintage.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about SWS VINTAGE?
SWS VINTAGE is a quality-focused online vintage shop. We are known for our vintage Chanel pieces, silk scarves, Levi’s Made in USA, and chain belt selections.

What sets SWS VINTAGE apart from other vintage shops is that we focus on quality vintage. Vintage shopping can be exhausting and tough because you have to inspect each piece carefully for any flaws. Therefore, we have eliminated that part of vintage shopping. We want people to not have to worry about the quality of the item and really enjoy the piece.

SWS VINTAGE started in May of 2020. We’ve grown our client-based, vintage selections, and most importantly trust. We have numerous clients that trust our process and vintage pieces, and we are so thankful to have the opportunity.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I speak two languages: Thai and English. And, I love tacos and boba tea!
