Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Krupnik.
Hi Ali, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My childhood hero was doctor Oz. I DVR’d his show and wrote down every single recommendation that he had. $200 later, I had all these new products and no idea what they were for, how to use them, or full transparency on what was in them. When people would ask “what does that do?” all I could respond with was that “Idk, Doctor Oz said it was good for me, so I bought it.” This got old real quick. I never felt results or saw success in the products I tried.
For all I knew, some of them could have canceled each other out, conflicted with some of my prescriptions, or caused harm. I’ve had years of experience wasting money on products that suck. I was working in events and was traveling more than I was home. I was working 60 hrs a week MINIMUM, and I can vividly remember multiple nights where I had 12AM calls and client email exchanges happening at 2am. I was miserable. I was making peanuts, had tons of credit card debt, and had no time to find a way out. I felt completely stuck and out of control. Although I was eating healthily and was happy with my body, my mental, financial, emotional and physical wellness were totally unaligned. We aren’t taught the multiple dimensions of wellness and how critical they are, and how much they impact one another. American society thrives on a culture of people looking for quick fixes. But BREAKING NEWS – there isn’t a pill that can solve a mismanaged life. Everybody is different, and there isn’t a one-size fits all approach. I needed to be my OWN self-advocate for my health. I decided to make a change. Amongst the 100+ hour weeks, I made it my goal to find 20 minutes a day to do ONE thing that would push me closer to my goals. I believe in the power of micro-steps and it’s actually the small things that make all the difference. I quit my job and started a new one that was better aligned with my values and brought me closer to my goals.
In my “spare time,” I decided to become a certified health coach in effort to be the champion of my own health & wellness. I learned about the science of nutrition, that food is medicine, and how messed up the food pyramid is. I knew that I never wanted to feel the way I did previously, and through continued education and research and a lot of trial-and-error, I became the catalyst of my personal growth. One of my biggest frustrations was how complicated wellness was. And how unmanageable it is to take your wellness routine on-the-road. I studied the fundamentals of wellness and found products, techniques, and platforms that supported me no matter where or how busy I am. I am determined to cut out the bullshit and make it simple. One step at a time, I created my own wellness filter for sustainable solutions. Now, I want to share my learnings with others. Ali is a certified health & wellness coach. She designs programs for busy entrepreneurs and professionals who want to bring their A-game to life and work. They are broken down to actionable steps, helping clients build micro-habits and small changes that make a huge difference. Ali helps people reach their wellness breakthroughs so they can feel better, live better, and have more of what they want in life.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not! I officially got my LLC in May of 2019, so going full-time with MyWellCo during COVID has its challenges, as many small business owners can sure relate! I had to pivot multiple times. One of the biggest skills that I’ve learned is resilience. When things are tough, being able to not take things personally. To be in control of your emotions, and just pivot. I’ve learned to find joy in the small wins and trust the process. If the end goal is the only thing that makes you happy then it’s going to be a long road ahead. Without a strong mindset, passion, and resilience 2020 could have totally destroyed me!
