Today we’d like to introduce you to Lissandra Arias.
Hi Lissandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am 22 years old. I remember on August 2019 when I first opened my Instagram account, I would sell jewelry and single sizes of clothing. It wasn’t long after when I decided to take a break because being a freshman in college and having a job was too overwhelming. As time passed, I realized that I wanted to give business another shot but this time with a permit to be able to get more inventory! After weeks of planning and researching, I finally got my permit and drove to the fashion district with only $500. I was super excited and overwhelmed with joy because I was finally able to start a legal business. It was January 2021 when I opened my TikTok account and rebranded the business I first started with. This was the best decision I could make because my platforms started to blow up! During this time, I was now a junior in college and still working graveyard for a company that didn’t work with my hours.
I knew I had to make a decision and choose what was best for me. I quit the job, dedicated myself to my business, and finished college strong! I am now a college graduate, work on my business full time, and am very thankful for all the support.
This is just the start of Lvboutiqueee…
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, business comes with many obstacles. I have dealt with chargebacks (people telling their bank that they didn’t receive items when they actually did), vendors giving me damaged items, not having enough inventory for items that go viral, shipping problems, packaging problems, and the list can go on.
Although those were some obstacles. I would say that the main struggle was being a college student and trying to keep up with my business. I remember sleeping at 3-4am because I had to finish orders. Which caused many health issues like stress, anxiety, etc.
Overall, I will always tell myself, “If it was easy, everyone would do it” and in reality nothing comes easy. Aside from all the obstacles, I am happy to do what I love.
As you know, we’re big fans of Lvboutiqueee. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Lvboutiqueee is a Latina-owned business in the IE. We offer sizes s-3x, with the trendiest styles. My goal is to help women feel beautiful in their own skin. No matter your size, you are beautiful. You are enough. You are you!
My motto will forever be to wear whatever you want. If you feel happy and comfortable you shouldn’t care about anyone’s opinion.
I think what sets Lvboutiqueee from other brands is that I build a connection with customers. I like to speak with customers on live to show appreciation and create a comfortable environment.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Although Lvboutiqueee is a sole proprietorship there are many people who deserve credit for the success of my business.
Mom and dad: gracias por todo su apoyo los quiero mucho ! My parents play a huge role because when I told them about starting a business. They instantly agreed and actually gave me money to invest on inventory.
My siblings: help package orders.
My boyfriend: helps me with LA trips, order drop-offs, and most importantly the support that keeps me pushing on those days that I would feel like giving up.
My models: my friends actually became my models and for them I am super thankful.
Friends, family and customers that have supported me Thank-you! I appreciate every single one who has shown support in any way, shape or form.
