Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After years of extensive travel and living abroad, I was back in US full time and needed to learn how to connect on both a personal and professional level in a new community. I have worked a good part of my career in the tech industry, which is known for its volatility and layoffs. Across all industries, work environments are shifting. There is now a large gig economy, and technology will impact workers and the paths they take in their careers as a result of it. I went through two layoffs, and those experiences shook me and shifted how I look at the importance of community and livelihood. I had reached a point in my life and career where I needed to expand my network in a new way. This book is the culmination of my experience in becoming a connector in my community and shares the experiences of twelve other super connectors.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

How do you define success?
Success is ever-evolving to me.

For the past, I realize the impact of my past and remember the pieces of me scatted around the world, hidden treasures of time that have shaped me.

For the present, I work on being healthy and in tune with the beauty that surrounds me. I try to courageously live each day as an extraordinary adventure.

For the future, I focus on a legacy of joy.
