Exploring Life & Business with Briana Ross of HelloBriana Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Ross.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my consulting business HelloBriana Consulting almost five years ago. I wanted to help women grow their businesses and have more time to spend with my daughter. I expanded into branding and graphic design, and now I teach female service providers how to grow their businesses online. Business has definitely had its ups and downs. From not making any money my first year in business to losing my grandma not long after I started surpassing six figures in business and helping women worldwide, I believe that your hard work will pay off if you stick with it. I had no idea my business would allow me to have the freedom I have now, but I am so grateful. My great-grandmother plays a huge role in this journey. She always believed in me and encouraged me to keep going. She also helped a lot with my daughters because my husband is a truck driver. When she passed, I was faced with the decision to either go back to work or go into business full time. My husband was super supportive, so I went for it. It was honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but it was worth it. Everything entrepreneurship has taught me has allowed me to grow into the woman I once dreamed of being. I’m so grateful to be in a space where I can help others and show my daughters they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. There has been a lot of trial and error, but I feel like that’s what allows us to grow and do better. Finding harmony among life and business was probably the biggest challenge for me. Once I started to create structure in my business, set work hours, outsource the tasks I’m not so good at, and make more time for myself, things started to run A LOT smoother. As I grow my business, I have the blessing of connecting with women all over. Connecting with women has taught me that we all will face challenges on our journeys, but it’s about pushing through and having faith. Despite the obstacles giving up will never be an option because I can’t think of anything I would rather do for a living.

As you know, we’re big fans of HelloBriana Consulting. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a Business Coach, Brand Strategist, and owner of HelloBriana Consulting. For almost five years, I have been able to work with and teach women worldwide about branding and marketing, and it has been one of the most amazing experiences. Here at HelloBriana Consulting, I offer 1:1 coaching and many digital resources to help service providers take action to grow their business. I teach female service providers how to grow their businesses online by clarifying their messaging, refining their offers, enhancing their client experience, and creating content that converts. Social media is the primary driver of business for many small business owners, and with a tailored strategy that focuses on relationship building, collecting data, and showing up on video. With these strategies, my clients have been able to book speaking engagements with 500+ attendees, have multiple four-figure launches, launch their businesses and new offers, gain immense clarity in business. So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I would have to say work-life harmony. Family means a lot to me, and when my business started to grow, I realized that it was taking away from the time freedom I desired. This caused me to feel overwhelmed, stressed out, and burned out. This inspired me to grow my business in a way that allowed me to have more time to spend with my family and even practice self-care. We often feel like we can’t have our cake and eat it too, and I’m learning that we actually can. However, you have to get clear on what you truly desire despite what everyone seems to have all around you. It is so important that our businesses complement our personal lives. Yes, there may be a season (maybe with an upcoming launch) where you have to put in longer hours, but it should never take away from you. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Having time for myself and my family fills me up and allows me to give my business 110%.
