Exploring Life & Business with Francesca James of We Need Each Other

Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesca James.

Hi Francesca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a Reiki Master, Intuitive Wellness Coach, Teacher, Retreat Facilitator, and Author my goal is singular. I desire that each individual knows that there is perfection within, and they can experience the wholeness of that perfection in the outer world. I believe there is nothing more important than the intuitive, inner voice that guides and directs every aspect of our lives.  It provides the answer to every question and is the catalyst for healing on every level.

I recognized as a child that I am an internal being, an observer of what occurs around me, always listening inside of myself. It’s nothing I was taught it’s just my nature; the way I’m wired. I have taken the internal voice into every aspect of my life because experience tells me that is where the answers live. I was successful in corporate America because the inner voice guided me to the appropriate account to call in the appropriate timing. I would actually stop and ask the Highest part of myself to conduct a meeting; to speak and to listen. No one knew what I was doing, but that’s the way I operate. I reside in Los Angeles, CA, and globally facilitate retreats, workshops, and classes. In our current climate, the intuitive voice leads me to be a guiding path for White people to heal their hidden racism and for Black people to stand in the truth of their innate power. I believe the work I am doing now, albeit the most difficult, is the most fulfilling of my career. I am a believer in justice and truly embrace the idea that with focused intention, we can deconstruct racism and build a society that works for everyone.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overcoming challenges is simply a part of the journey. It has been difficult at times to realize that all human beings, although, expressions of our Creator, do not recognize that we are sourced from the same magnificence. It has been challenging at times to realize how far from inner alignment individuals stray and how strong their misaligned convictions can be. However, the road is always smooth when one listens to guidance and follows the directive step-by-step. However, as stated, that is not always the case. There are times that the big picture becomes overwhelming. In those times, I take deep conscious breaths, remember that I am always being guided, and go into deeper listening. Then once again, the burden feels light.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about We Need Each Other?
“We Need Each Other” is a non-profit corporation with the sole mission of moving humankind from a place of historically constructed bias to mutual appreciation and togetherness by shedding Light through conscious conversations facilitated by me, Francesca James. Our vision is of a future characterized by unity and a deeper appreciation for our fellow men and women. Along with being an intuitive life coach, a speaker, and an author, I am an energy therapist. It is through this work as an energy therapist that I came to understand oneness because everything is energy. Everything vibrates. What appears solid and still has particles that are in vibrational movement. When I touch or hold my hand over a person, an animal, a rock, water, I feel it’s vibration. I feel the way that energy is moving or not moving. It is through this work that I had my aha moment realizing, there it is.

There is Oneness! It is that awareness of Oneness that I desire to have in the forefront of every event in which “We Need Each Other” is involved. In recent times as my Black brothers and sisters were telling White people that they can’t help them because we are exhausted, I realized that White people need to hear from a Black person or persons in order to “get it”. They can’t see what they can’t see. Therefore, I have begun teaching a class, “Deconstructing Racism: Moving Through Discomfort to Action.” I have learned so much by teaching my White attendees, who are listening to the Black perspective probably for the first time. Although it is very difficult for White people to even admit that they need the work, once they say yes it brings me such great joy. Additionally, I am beginning to teach a class for Black people entitled, “Crowned” because it is mandatory that we, Black people, release the lies told to and about us and remember the truth of who we really are. It is my proudest work to feel I have a part to play in the dismantling of this dis-ease.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck, I believe that we all have an inner guidance system that is the only authority to follow. The manner in which it brings things to us sometimes feels like luck. The manner in which it brings to us things other than that for which we’ve asked sometimes feels like bad luck. However, my belief is that it is all perfectly, divinely ordained.
