Daily Inspiration: Meet Yalon Hutchinson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yalon Hutchinson.

Hi Yalon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I go by Yalon Mishael on social media. I am 26 years old and the CEO of Lavish Curls Beauty LLC, which is an all natural hair care line that helps make your hair healthier and grow faster. I also invented a Scalp Psoriasis Treatment that helps clear up your scalp and reduce flareups. I am a full-time influencer that makes videos on YouTube about natural hair, entrepreneurship and fashion. I have been on social media since I was 19 years old, I started of making videos on how to clear up your psoriasis and just sharing my love for natural hair products. During that time, I was in school studying for my degree in Business Administration. After I graduated, I knew I wanted to do something with hair and three years later, I launched Lavish Curls Beauty after procrastinating for a while.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, I launched my business February 2020, and a month later COVID hit. I thought there was no way to grow my business during a pandemic, but I was wrong. I saw other natural haircare businesses still making sales, so I started to push myself. I had to learn to really take my business serious and show up for it every day. I started posting every day 3-4 times a day and really promoting my products. I started off with just a hair growth oil, so sales were slow. As I started to add more products to the Hair Growth collection sales started to pick up and have been increasing since then. I learned discipline, consistency, to stay positive, have faith and push through. That was the only way I saw results.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am mostly known for my natural hair videos on YouTube, but unlike some natural hair Youtubers that only focus on just that topic, I like to share more about myself. My subscribers have been able to learn about my scalp psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa journey. Those are two skin disorders that I have and I have already helped so many people with them. I also enjoy showing them clothing hauls from time to time so they can get a sense of my fashion style which tends to be more so loungewear. They also get to see behind the scene of my entrepreneurship journey as well which I have been transitioning the niche of my channel to be more about.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see Lavish Curls Beauty becoming a multi-millionaire company. I see myself having a big manufacturing warehouse and our products all over the world in different stores. I can see it being able to scale fast, so I am looking forward to the journey. I already have international customers, so my products have demand all over the world. I also see influencer marketing continuing to increase, so I am glad to be apart of that journey.

Congratulations!!! I am a Team Lavish Curls Beauty supporter. I have purchased the entire hair care line except the psoriasis products. I absolutely love the hair growth oil, mango moisture cream growth butter, leave-in growth spritz, African black soap shampoo and honey growth deep conditioner. My hair has truly grown from the oil and is sooo much more healthier from the use of these amazing products,🥰🔥🔥 Blessings as you continue on your journey in all that you do, Yalon Mishael.🥂
