Daily Inspiration: Meet Tara Marshall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Marshall.

Hi Tara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I became an Esthetician because I was always drawn to skincare products the science behind them. I also love people and healing. I love that my clients come in one way and leave another. Especially after this past year, and all the heartache it has brought, I am so happy I get to help heal my clients. I am a safe place for my clients to come unwind, vent, relax, heal their skin, and reach all their skincare goals at the same time. I have also loved the Instagram following I’ve gained. It it is a place where I don’t like to influence, but love to educate. I take my followers along for discussions and we learn everything from skincare steps, to peels, to everything you need to know about SPF, and more. I love that I get to pass along my over ten years of clean living and skincare knowledge with my clients and followers.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been smooth in some ways and not smooth in others. I am a single mom of three. There has definitely been a lot of struggles and ups and downs along the way. But I always climb out of them; even if it was climbing out from rock bottom 13 years ago. I’ve been sober for 13 years and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love that I get to be present in my kids’ lives and am not going through this mom life and work life with eyes blurred. Having my career gives me steady and smooth inspiration. I love that I get to go in to my treatment room where I feed my passion and help others.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a holistic based Esthetician. I use OSEA Malibu, May Lindstrom, Eminence, Goop, Kora Organics, IMAGE and more. I have a variety of treatments including hand, lip and scalp treatments. I also have a vagus nerve therapy/massage that I perform as well. I specialize in my signature Organic Facial but also do peels, GUA sha, light therapy, galvanic current, and face cupping; to name a few. Hydro jelly masks with lots of crystals, sound bowls and healing massage is my vibe. I just love what I do and love to help heal my clients.

How do you think about luck?
Luck is tricky.. I mean, I believe I have been lucky, and unlucky in life- that’s life. Ups and downs and life happens. I believe obstacles are put in front of us because we need to overcome them and learn a lesson for ourselves and/or for others around us. Life hasn’t been rainbows and sunshine, but I am appreciative of everything I have and all that I have learned from the good and bad. Gratitude is key to my business and I am so lucky to have supportive family and friends around me. My family means the world to me; and my work family at Lighthouse Salon Suites and the Cove Salon is incredible too!
