Daily Inspiration: Meet Sabrina Atoori

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Atoori.

Hi Sabrina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My son has very severe life-threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts… No one in my family had ever had food allergies so I had no idea what it was until I gave my son peanut butter sandwich when he was 1.5 years old. He immediately developed reactions which could have quickly taken a turn for worst if it hadn’t been for the Benadryl and the Dr. on call. After that, I began to educate myself on the subject and realized over the years how challenging life is for people with food allergies is and also how kids can be insecure because they get bullied about their food allergies, some have even lost their lives as a result. Today my son is 11 years old and over the years, we have encountered many heartbreaking and avoidable situations which either landed us in ER or stranded in another country because they had not cleared out the plane of peanuts and tree-nuts. I finally got fed up and started advocacy and educating the public by way of my designs. This is how the birth of N3N Clothing started. I use Fashion to Inform, Educate, Build Confidence and Hopefully Save Lives. Many friends in the entertainment, sports and fashion Industry from across the Globe have united their voice with mine to Raise Awareness by wearing my shirts in unity to shed light on Food Allergies which affects 32 Million Americans, that’s 1 in 10 adults and 1 in 13 children, They post selfies & share on my Instagram @N3NClothing. Through my Campaign #WhyWait – Until It’s Too Late. I hope to reach a wide enough audience to reach lawmakers to implement changes with Restaurants, Manufacturers, Airlines to name a few, to better help protect people with food allergies. Food Allergies hits the underprivileged even worst as they don’t have the resources to identify their allergies nor do they have access to safer foods, which ends up landing them in hospitals or worst. For this reason, is a conscientious brand and for every shirt we sell, one goes to a family in need.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Covid has certainly slowed me down tremendously. For me, the struggle has been that I am a small woman-owned online business with very little capital to get my brand out and noticed. I use high-end materials, the designs are very unique and stylish. I put heart into everything from the designs to the quality of the materials so that it feels nice on the skin and sends out the powerful message. Most important is to protect the person wearing the shirt by informing those around to be cautious. I want them to feel confident as they wear these cool fashionable designs at the same time feel safe as they inform the public to be aware. As small as is and as tough as it is to getting the recognition, I have received the attention of many in the entertainment industry to unite and share my voice and for that, I am very grateful!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Designer of Food Allergy Shirts –

I am also a film producer amongst credits also known for “Thirteen Conversations About One Thing”, “The Jimmy Show”, “Chasing Happiness”.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
It makes me happy to help people that struggle with their allergies. By wearing my designs, they fit in and not standout, Same time educating and informing those around them to be cautious. There are many children whom are too young to explain their allergies. Also, many older kids that are too shy to wear wristband IDs, etc. which makes them feel different, my shirts are a nice alternative to help build their confidence. My designs are geared to empower those kids to feel they can fit in at the same time protect themselves. As for Teens as well as adults, my designs are also for them to feel cool and stylish at the same time stay safe.
