Daily Inspiration: Meet Reyna Khalil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reyna Khalil.

Hi Reyna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
While in High School, I discovered my passion for magazines, and I read every designer, model and beauty article I could find. Born and raised in Nicaragua with a degree in Design, I moved to Los Angeles, California where I continued my education in Makeup, in 2013 I began working in the fashion industry. Through years of hard work, I have been fortunate to be a part of many great Makeup Teams and experienced great achievements in international fashion shows. Much of my work has been published in major magazines such as Vogue, Bazaar, People, etc. There is so much more I want to accomplish. I am always learning and would considerate it a privilege and pleasure to meet and work with new artists. I recently launched a new Makeup and Hair business, “Brides By Queen”…..Helping new brides receive The Royal Treatment for their big day!, which I’m very proud of. As well as my Industry website,

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my biggest challenges for me was to quit my stable job and start working as a freelancer, following my passion wasn’t easy but every beginning is rough especially when you start working on your own to build a name and your own brand to build your portfolio. I always say to new artists don’t give up. In the beginning, you have to do some free work so paying my bills was difficult. Perseverance and hard work were my roads to success. If you like what you do, it never feels like you are going to work!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work in different areas most of the time as a creative director, makeup artist, hairstylist and wardrobe stylist in fashion, beauty, editorial, runway, film and bridal. with clients all over the world
