Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Stanton.
Hi Rebecca, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I moved to Los Angeles in 2010. I was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. I wanted a fresh start and a change of scenery, so LA is where I ended up! I have been a personal trainer in Los Angeles for 10 years. I help people get in the best shape of their lives while making them feel really confident in their own skin. Training is such a positive thing in my life and I wanted more so I started a fitness brand called BITI Brand, which stands for Be Inspired To Inspire. I sell fitness products that allow you to get just as good of a workout at home as you do in the gym! At the same time, I have built my following up on Instagram and give people a little needed motivation through social media. I love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Fairly smooth. I think my number one struggle has been taking my own advice. I preach to people on social media about loving the skin they are in and appreciating their bodies! However, at times, it is hard for me to take my own advice. It is hard for me to not compare myself to others I see on social media. It’s definitely a learning experience waking up each day getting to do what I do. I am a work in progress just like everyone else.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
When someone asks me what I do for a living, the short answer would be. ‘I am a personal trainer’…But the long answer is that I am much more than that. My training sessions with my clients are not just therapeutic for them but they are for me as well. My specialty is in Pre/postnatal personal training. Training women throughout the course of their pregnancy but also after that. Most people just want some sort of guidance when it comes to training and that is exactly what I am here for.
Something that I am most proud of would be just how far I have come in my career. I started 10 years ago at a corporate gym, taking any client that I could get. Now, 10 years later, I am a celebrity trainer and I train 100% on my own, as my own boss. 10 years ago, feels like just yesterday.
Something that sets me apart as a trainer is the mindset of always willing to learn new things. You can’t go through life thinking you know it all, that only leads to failure.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If you are struggling on your journey of life right now, just remember that there is always someone struggling with you and you are not alone. Always remain humble, compassionate, and kind for that is what our world needs right now. Be proud of your big moments in life but never neglect the small ones for they mean just as much. Lastly, BE INSPIRED TO INSPIRE.
