Daily Inspiration: Meet Nazareth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazareth.

Hi Nazareth, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a young, driven individual from New York City. I have an immense source of inspiration that has come from growing up on watching BET, TRL and MTV. Watching movies from Hollywood and all over the world as I was in my formative years really put me in a place to appreciate art and to want to emulate the same feelings, I felt while watching. I always felt seen and as if I was someone important even from an early age at three. I have been through a multitude of experiences that have strengthened my character and let me have the material for my music, writing of films, etc. I love to sing, write music, act, model and be of such substance as a commercial product. I have always saw myself as someone to be marketed as a great and to put the work in has been exactly my type of path. I feel destined, and I want to bring glory to the wonderful sentiment that art can have on others and the world. I learn from the greats in every area and aspect of life; from the Malcom X, Donny Hathaway, Aaliyah, Amy Winehouse James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and many others. I feel a sense and need to be of substance and value to my community, my world and parts of the universe I don’t even know yet, I want to be a big deal in all forms of media, the film industry, the music industry and etc. I create my own music videos for right now as I realized it is much better to not wait for the right equipment and to just create and put the art for display to audiences of all sectors. I want to help individuals and a whole collective to uplift the spirits of those through my art and life’s mission.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road that I am on, that anyone gets on towards success and healing, I find it always so smooth in my opinion; it’s just a journey in which can look as if it’s a rocky road with lens that are not opened up to see the results of the hard work that will come. The light that it is that is often overlooked is to be able to see challenges and walk right through them with a solution paintbrush. Life teaches me to be able to live it if I just take a step back and appreciate all the things that I do have awaiting for me as well as gifts I can give to others if I follow my path. Some situations that could of been looked at as rough by me would be having a family who might not want to encourage me on my path; even though I’ve been a creator since three, and they have saw my passion and talent since that time. So in essence it makes me feel a bit low as if I’m not worth everything I’m doing; because I would love to have the main people who inspire me and took care of me to know that I’m working hard to be an asset to them and the world. Another unsure thing I’ve felt was about my weight, wanting to be bigger but having challenges with appetite for eating. I have traumatic memories and ideals that have always crushed me down a bit. Though overall, I feel as though struggles are just a smoke and mirrors for the beauty and calmness that is ever so present when looked at with the right lens.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What I do is I sing, write lyrics, dance; ballet, hip hop, etc., I model and act as well as overall, I am just a commercialized product of a star; a Renaissance individual that is a trendsetter with fashion and with mindset and the furthering of the artistic vision. I love to be of service and value to the community in ways through music and presence as someone who wants and will become a success just by sticking out the journey and having faith. I am a jazz singer and I choreograph dance with a big determination to be a staple.

I am most proud of being able to be someone who can find comfort in the greats before me and at the same time be able to embark on a path that can bring a whole fresh awareness to what it means to be an artist and be a mirror for the times you live in.

What definitely sets me apart from others is my childlike enthusiasm and energy towards manifesting my exact desire that beats in my heart. I am in essence still a little boy, a bit clingy, a bit sad, lonely and that makes me relatable and also untouchable behind a metaphorical glass door and that glass door is success. I have an open and warm light that comes from a place of appreciation and reverence rather than pushing my way into a world as if I’m the only one turning it.

I am an authentic and original entity and I have an understanding of the marketing and commercial side of the industry that brings my value to the top of the pack. I have the means of a fresh Motown act and of someone who can be internationally accepted, known and cheered on as people will see themselves in me.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I would say all forms of media that are with such a story whether nonfiction or fiction, bring inspiration and reality to my standpoint on life at any given point. A new fresh book can let me see a bigger world than what I’m accustomed to at times. It lets me have the crafting of ideas be at my fingertips. As well as other resources, I would say Jazz music, hip hop music, artists I adore all make me feel like my best and bring me forward in my progress in my endeavors. Movies and films as well take me into a space of meaning and lessons and messages that further me in my path.
