Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Perez.
Hi Juan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The idea of Pampas Shoppe started during the 2020 pandemic. Like many people during quarantine, we found ourselves discovering a new passion and creative outlet. Wanting to elevate our home with touches of nature, we sought out vendors for pampas grass. To our surprise, it was near impossible to find vendors in the San Fernando Valley / Los Angeles region that offered pampas grass at a reasonable rate. That’s when we realized the dried-floral space was perfect for us and we wanted to make pampas grass available for all.
We launched our business initially selling luscious pampas grass stems a-la-carte. Unlike shopping for pampas grass online, our quality was always consistent as we handpicked our stems to ensure outstanding quality control. Word about our pampas grass stems quickly spread and we were completely overwhelmed with the support and demand we received from our local community. Our passion and friendliness peaked through the screen as we responded to the immense amount of direct messages and our clients began recommending us to their friends and families. Everyone who has messaged us on Instagram has seen they are always communicating with a real person who advice on all-things home decor and events.
After requesting product feedback from our audience, we found many clients wanted luxury dried-floral arrangements. We introduced a variety of everlasting arrangements which are used in homes, restaurants, retail stores, and really anywhere you can think of. The success encouraged us to launch seasonal collections such as our holiday collection, which included glass ornaments filled with dried florals, pampas grass wreaths and more!
We’ve come a long way since September ’20, and we’re extraordinarily grateful that our eye-catching arrangements have allowed us to meet and work with the most amazing people, who we can truly call friends.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While our positive attitudes and impressive clientele may fool you, it has not been a smooth road! We’re the first entrepreneurs of our families, so our biggest obstacle was and continues to be learning how to run a business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work full-time at Fashion Nova and lead all-things visual for retail. My eye for impactful visuals sets me apart as I am versatile in styling fashion, florals, and homes.
I work as a full-time social media manager at Outstanding Foods. I’ve expanded my portfolio in marketing across the beauty and consumer packaged goods, proving my ability to excel in various industries.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Follow your passions and be thankful to those who support you.
