Today we’d like to introduce you to Far I Shields.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Art, Writing, and Music are channeling vehicles for me. I am drifting easily away from my 3D reality to fellowship with the source of all things. The ideas, the movements, the textures, the framework are all from the divine. I am just the vessel through which these artistic expressions flow.”
My grandfather was an artist who passed away in the early 1980s. I get most of my skills from him because he taught me how to draw, shade, use colors, and how to pay attention to the precise details of everyday life. He would frequently ask me questions like, what color are those leaves on that trees? What color is the sky? Which color do you picture your dream home? So, my grandfather was my original teacher, and he taught me everything I know about color theory, harsh and soft shading techniques, and really helped me to build my overall artistic identity, which I’m extremely grateful for.”
I went into the creative field with a vision of how I wanted this 3D Reality to look. Once I enter into that frequency, the ideas begin to emerge and my perception of things begin to change. Sometimes, the ideas take longer to come into fruition but at other times, I would get downloads as fast as lightning speed. Within my writing journey thus far, I’ve written four books, website content, blogs and articles.
I was born in Los Angeles during the ’60s. Throughout my early childhood, I experienced a social climate which aligned with the musical environment of America. Earth, Wind, and Fire, Marvin Gaye, and Curtis Mayfield’s messages of inner strength, hope, and determination uplifted and inspired my musical beginnings. At an early age, I was taught piano which became the foundation of my musical inclination. On my 16th birthday, my mother gifted me with a Saxophone, and it became my first instrument of true freedom. In my room with the door closed, I began playing my Sax to the smooth and joyful sounds of James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and the Commodores; this was the 70’s. My love of playing music was born with the Saxophone. In 1985, I left the city of Los Angeles and came to the Bay Area to attend U.C. Berkeley, where I studied Political Economy of Natural Resources. There, I met many fellow musicians and talented artists who shared a similar dream of liberation through music as I did. Throughout my musical journey, I have played with three bands which has transformed my musical skills, both from my fellow musicians and from my interactions with live crowds.
My music has a Reggae foundation with vibrations from the entire Diaspora. At the core of my drive and passion is the commitment to create healing music that will uplift the listener. Like the saying “you can taste the love in the cooking”, my music is created with love and the intent to liberate and transform the listener. I am determined to share my mystical, musical experience with the world. This music is designed to connect you to your higher self. Relax, let Go and allow the music to transport you to a place where you realize that you are powerful, wise, intelligent, healthy, strong, capable and compassionate!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Life is not a smooth road. We are all here to learn. The learning for me has been amazing. There have been moments of great joy where I have seen 7,000 people in the trance of the music flowing through me and my bandmates and there have been times where very few people show up to an event that I was playing at.
I am very grateful for the spiritual journey that I have been on. Raised Catholic, once I had my awakening, conflict was everywhere in my spiritual beliefs and concepts. I researched, I studied, I listened, I shared, I experienced and then thanks to the grace of the source of all things I landed comfortably into my current state of being.
“Now my spiritual land remains safe and tranquil constantly filled with heavenly beings. My gardens and groves are adorned with various kinds of gems. Jeweled trees abound in flowers and fruit” (The lotus Sutra). I enjoy myself at ease with heavenly rhythms and music playing while Mandarava Blossoms Rain down.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an artist, musician and writer who is dedicated to the Global Transformation of our human family. I am most proud of my ability to continue to create in the face of great challenges.
I am uniquely focused on raising the consciousness of human beings on the planet. Each song, painting and book can be used as a vehicle for the viewer and listener to enter and transport to their higher selves; a higher state of consciousness. We will change the world by changing ourselves, and I believe that the key to each individual having a life-changing moment is to activate our higher selves. Once we are activated, messages can be received moment by moment when we tune into the divine broadcast. This, I’ve discovered, is the channel to the beautiful world within and the foundation of our human transformation into a more enjoyable and sustainable life and all that it entails.

Stay in prayer. Live in prayer constantly checking in with your ancestors, spirit guides and the Akashic Records. This is the time of Human Awakening. It is the age of Aquarius in the 25,000 years wheel of the greater year cycle. The pressure is intense and pressure makes diamonds.
