Daily Inspiration: Meet Eddie Escalante

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Escalante.

Hi Eddie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was making music all my life with father. Performing on local stages and events. It was until I reached high school, I learned guitar and was in a jazz choir at University Senior Highschool and we called ourselves the Jazz Cats. After high school, I focused on writing songs for myself more.

In my early 20’s, a friend of mine and I met up with Brycen, a successful audio engineer and he invited us to a studio session in the valley. At that private studio, they were looking for interns and Brycen mentioned my name to him and the rest is history. From intern to now aspiring Artist/Songwriter. I learned how to record and engineer, studio etiquette and the industry with studio owner, audio/recording artist Dub Shakes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My main struggle is balancing things in my life. When to stop working and when to relax and enjoy the time. But honestly, I want this really bad. I sacrifice a lot, time with my family and friends. It’s all worth it at the end of the day. I really love what I do.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a bilingual artist and songwriter. I record and mix vocals on protools I play guitar and rock out in the studio and outside. I write English and Spanish for non Spanish speakers and for Latinos. 🤘🏽

What matters most to you? Why?
My music, I want to share how I feel when I make and listen to my music.
