Daily Inspiration: Meet Davontae Conner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davontae Conner.

Hi Davontae, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was always creative. Once my high school teacher Ms. Conrad put a camera in my hand I just fell in love. The following week I had purchased my first camera a canon rebel T6 and I took off from there.

I kept shooting and I got better once I started working with more artists, my name took off.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course not. Trying to be successful in film can be difficult but it’s worth it.

You just have to watch out for bad people that’s it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Film Director/ entrepreneur. I specialize in editing and directing. I also have my own collective/ brand.

I’m proud of the impact I made on my school and the people that’s around me. Everyone is working hard.

My ambition set me apart from everyone.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Shout out to God without him, none of these is possible. My mother, my father, they always got my back.

My old neighbor Ed and Tija.

Big shout out to Randus, my OG.
