Daily Inspiration: Meet Alexandra Lilly

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Lilly.

Hi Alexandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My love for home decorating started when I was about 13 years old. I was always rearranging my room & looking up ways to DIY furniture I would get at flea markets. I found so much joy in creating beautiful spaces in my home. As I grew up, I knew I always wanted to do something with my passion for home decor but didn’t know what that would look like. It all started from a family friend who needed their flip staged. I was so excited to stage my first house but so nervous at the same time! Fast forward to now, I’m absolutely loving what I get to do, running my own business and helping people stage their homes!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely been a wild ride! Starting out, we didn’t have any inventory so for each job, we had go from shop to shop buying all the items we needed hoping what we needed was in stock. At the time, both me and my husband had full-time jobs which meant our staging day didn’t start until we got off of work that day. Thankfully my husband thinks assembling furniture is fun so that’s helpful!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a Home Staging business based out of Ventura, CA and serve the surrounding areas. Our job is to help realtors and sellers get their homes ready to be put on the market by using our curated inventory to make the home look cohesive, warm, and inviting. We provide services for everything from vacant homes to homes that just need a walk-through consultation.

What matters most to you? Why?
We know that in Real Estate there are many moving parts so what matters most is that we do all that we can with excellence and attention to detail. Whether it is communication or clean mirrors, we always strive to make the process as seamless as possible for everyone involved. To us, it’s not just the fact that we helped someone sell their home, but that they had the best experience as well!
