Conversations with Sharon Mbi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Mbi.

Hi Sharon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Sharon Mbi aka (Bisha) I am a worship minister and gospel recording artist. I moved to the USA from Cameroon Africa in my late teens, and I live in California with my husband and three children. From a very young age, I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and demonic oppression through what is called a spirit spouse. I worshiped and wared my way to healing with seven songs which God gave me in my time of distress. These songs allowed me to find relief and healing. I am in the process of releasing the seven songs to soothe those who find themselves in this inner turmoil of anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and a spirit spouse. These songs make up my debut album called “7 Songs from Heaven” I have released four of the seven songs, love song, joy song, worship song and grace song and they are available on all streaming platforms. I am so blessed to have the musical genius of Nuugame who is producing and bringing these songs to life. It is my goal that all who experience my singing will give their hearts to Jesus Christ and find salvation guaranteeing them eternal life after physical death.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth journey. The most challenging aspect of my journey has been balancing being a wife and a mother of three young children and still showing up to pursue my music career

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My music ministry is called Bisha Ministries. Bisha Ministries hosts music events called “Worship War Win with Sharon Mbi” in a beautiful sanctuary with stained glass windows at the Ontario Church of the Nazarene twice a year in April and October. Worship War Win with Sharon Mbi is a non-denominational Afro-western worship music experience. WWW provides a space to worship Jesus Christ with songs and hymns of healing and deliverance which are mostly inspired by my debut album “7 Songs from Heaven” as well as other African and Western melodies. The upcoming Worship War Win session is scheduled for October 22nd from 6pm to 8pm. I also get booked to sing at Sunday services, funerals, weddings, and conferences. I am most proud of the fact that I have been able to overcome the challenge of an anxiety disorder and depression and go on to pursue my passion. In my humble opinion what makes me stand out from others are my scars and the inner battles I have won.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My advice is when trying to identify a mentor, do not necessarily focus on a celebrity whom you admire but who might not know or care for you personally. Look for someone who God has placed by you, who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself and helps bring it out of you. When you find them honor them and value them. You never know that person may very well be a celebrity in the making, what we need is usually right in front of us.
