Conversations with Sandrine Tabot Egbe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandrine Tabot Egbe.

Hi Sandrine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Cameroon. (Africa). I graduated from the University of Buea in Cameroon with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology.

I had always had passion for cake decorating, so I later on developed this passion into a business in 2014.

Later on in 2016, my family and I relocated to the United States where I continued the business as well as a business in interior decorating.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s not been a smooth ride truly but I’m grateful for the milestones.

Initially, I had difficulties establishing the business as an immigrant. It took a lot of time for me to study the system.

Moreso as a startup, we had financial difficulties.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Basically, I run two businesses. Cake decorating and interior decorating.

I specialize in creating custom celebration cakes for events such as weddings, birthdays, showers, etc. Our cakes are unique and tastes so good.

In 2020 our Brand of Box cake mix and premade fondant was approved and sells in USA and some African countries, I’m proud of that.

We also partner with an organization and donate cakes monthly to children who are terminally ill around the Las Vegas area.

I also create custom wall art pieces with resin.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I am very patient and honest and I feel that has helped my businesses.

I’m also very persistent. I don’t give up easily even in the face of failure.
