Conversations with Phillip Andre Botello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Phillip Andre Botello.

Hi Phillip, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well, I’m Just a poor Cali kid who fell in love with the arts and had an awesome mom that pointed me in the direction of my passions.

Just finished starring in a feature film shot here in Los Angeles called “As real as you make it” Directed by Joseph Nelms Produced by American pantheon Starring Phillip Andre Botello Jessica Ruth Bell Julia Donnell Lisa long I’m just Los Angeles native who went to study acting in New York like everyone else 😀 and came back to L.A. and now I been working consistently in front of the camera mostly in film and TV.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely didn’t start out smooth and when you start out it feels like you’re just banging your head against the wall. However,… just keep going.

I have a good team now.

And I’m really proud and very grateful to thank some people to help me out and that’s my partners Jakki Jandrell and Valeria Sweet! It’s the age of the self-tape! Jackie and Valaria are my acting partners and also costars in other films but it’s because we work together on auditions constantly that I’m always able to book as much as I do so I wouldn’t be anywhere without the work that they help me with! #teamwork Even though the challenge has been the pandemic, 2020 has been my most productive year starring in more feature films than any of my previous years. Thanks To Jakki Jandrell and Valeria Sweet

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My most notable films you can see me in are currently streaming on Hulu. “The Art Of Self Defense” And “Pledge” And for 2021 my feature film “As real as you make it” will be coming out very soon

I have many films coming out

from “wanton want” to “29” I’m looking forward to seeing these films coming out!

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I don’t tell people often but I love poetry. Most poems by e.e. cummings are my favorite. I’m on Twitter @phillipabotello and JW.Org keeps me grounded!
