Conversations with Paul “Don Juan” Strickland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul “Don Juan” Strickland.

Hi Paul “Don Juan”, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Djing in 1999 but my path in music began at the age of three. I started rapping at five and playing saxophone at 11. Music and spiritual development have been the catalyst of my life. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a BS in Recording Industry and had plans to continue that path of the entertainment biz as a lifelong career. I’ve Djed clubs, tours and private events for decades but the past 4-5 years, I’ve branched into a ton of weddings. Weddings are awesome. A few years ago though the veil was lifted and I started to see everything from a different perspective, especially the entertainment business. I noticed that this world isn’t just a duality between light and dark, there was also a duality with light in the form of True Light and false light. This led to the creation of my organization/community The Family Of True Light. We’re a safe community of like-minded individuals that realize the need for higher spiritual consciousness as the main tool to help heal humanity and restore balance with all of creation. I still DJ but my life’s path now is all about helping everyone connect with the Most High God (aka Source) so they can find the god within. I still DJ when applicable but even then, I’m extremely aware of energy so I may actually pass on gigs if the energy of the event is too low vibrational. I’m here to help raise the consciousness of humanity and that’s what I’m doing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s no such thing as a smooth road. The ascension of life isn’t even laid out that way. The path to self-discovery is laid out with obstacles that are designed for you locate the right questions. Everyone’s looking for answers. That to me is the problem. It’s a flip polarity. The question is where the treasure is. You’re already the answer but to what? That journey of discovery will never equate to what’s currently viewed as “smooth” but it can be one of ease and convenience once you adapt the right alignment and energy for the path you’re assigned to. We’d all like for the road to be smooth but where’s the testimony in that?

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So as a dj what’s always set me apart is my ability to feel the energy and elevate the environment in a positive way that works in alignment with the energy of the people. I’ve also been well endowed with linguistic gifts that allow my vocal vibration to be impactful in all environments. Also, due to my years in bands, I’m able to blend music in ways that is appealing acoustically, vibrationally and energetically to help the listener gain in positive energy and vibration. I’ve been most known for my time with G Unit as Young Bucks dj but I also have many affiliated energies with individuals like Kevin Hart, Edidon (2Pac & The Outlawz) and many more. I’m most proud at this time of the Family Of True Light and the ability to take all I’ve accumulated in skill, talent and delivery and using it in a way that truly adds to the spirit of an individual. That’s a forever concept. Djing parties are one day and it’s over. Adding to someone’s spirit so they can ascend…. that’s priceless. My heart is what sets me apart. I actually care about humanity. Most humans (especially in the ent biz) only care about themselves. It’s the negative polarity of selfishness; self hate. I teach the positive polarity of selfishness; self-love.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I think currently the most shocking thing about me to others that catches them off guard is the shift in my life from cultural narratives to higher spiritual consciousness. Many continue to say “Bro, you did a complete 180. How’d you learn that? Where’d you get that from? How are you doing this? The biggest shock has been this season of shift. Before this, it was probably the fact that I still don’t have kids, I love to cook (and cook almost every meal I eat) and I like to clean. Being raised by a strict southern mom will do that to you lol I also know how to fix houses. My dad had his own home improvement company.
