Conversations with Melody Trice

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melody Trice.

Hi Melody, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m from Century, Florida. I was taught to speak your mind and not allow anything or anyone to hold you back. My upbringing taught me the importance of loving oneself and not allowing other’s opinions of you, to write your life story. It was important to me to respect others and know that their truth may not be mine but that’s ok. Growing up I was told by some of my teachers, and my peers that I’ll never be nothing but I had one teacher that believed I would become anything I set my mind to. And that was the fuel I needed. My life changed forever. Growing up I wanted to be a brain surgeon, or do hair, and after watching ER on television, beautician it was. I have to laugh because I still end up working on the head, doing their hair and everyone knows your hairstylist is your counselor. So I worked on the brain after all. But my life had many layers that I didn’t know would unfold. I moved to California by faith and a lot of my dreams became true.

I’m now an international model, a tv personality and a speaker inspiring others to live their lives unlimited. I never would have thought I was able to become those things. But, I had that small voice saying it’s possible, it’s possible. The very thing I got picked at during school is now my calling card. They said I couldn’t and I did. They said I was to ugly and now people are waiting to take my photo all over the world. I was able to use their rejection from growing up as a stepping stone to reach my goals in show business. I soon realized they helped create me to be the go-getter that I am today. So now I encourage others by living it out in reality. Action does speak louder than words, I do and I allow my life to speak for me.

To me how I started did not determine how I finished and I’m not through yet. I’m just getting started. My talk show shares others’ life stories to empower the audience. My modeling inspires the young girls who look like me that they are beautiful enough to walk a runway. Encourage women over 40 that you are never too old to model. Lifts up the women with curves that are beautiful in the skin you are in. That’s why I do what I do, to show the world that life really is unlimited when we take the limitations off ourselves.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it hasn’t always been smooth. I wouldn’t say struggles but challenges. One that caused probably a lot of sets back, was holding on to the old mindset. I was very successful where I moved from. But, I had these thoughts that every area works the same way. Absolutely wrong, big culture shock when I moved to California. I had this ideal that everyone was going to be nice and have my best interest. Especially since I was going to be living in LA, the melting pot capital and people were from all over the world here. But, after a bit of growing pains, I soon realized that I had to adapt to my surroundings but not become my surroundings. Be confident in me and stand out, changing my mindset and becoming a better version of self.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Well, I inspire and motivate others through sharing my life experience. To enrich them to become the best version of themselves. Whether or not it’s being a television personality, modeling, or speaking on a platform, it all goes back to enriching others, empowering them to be the best version of themselves. When I share my story or others stories, it gives me the fulfillment that I’m changing the world for the better, one mindset at a time. When you can show someone something in themselves that they didn’t see or believe could become their reality, it gives a great sense of self-fulfillment.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
They can help me by first sharing this article, and following me on social media on all platforms @melodytrice and reaching out to me via email for future collaboration and support. I want to thank you all in advance.
