Conversations with Konsume Us

Today we’d like to introduce you to Konsume Us.

Hello Konsume Us, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
One morning, I just woke up and realized that art, especially music, is one of the ways I may be able to help the world. I started on the east coast when I was in college on the local Soundcloud scene.

Hella shows, formulating a network called “Family Before Everything”, and starting my brand all before 2020 was a major part of the here I am today. Once 2020 came and I went on a branding hiatus while still dishing out lo-fi vibes for myself until 2022.

This year, I have fully created my multi-medium production brand and started pushing my music out even more. Now, my brand “Us” , is manifesting destiny and making it across the nation to the West Coast to make a home for artists everywhere.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been one of the most difficult roads I’ve been on.

Growing up in the hood and a place that has very little appreciation for any art. Moving from home and being in a whole new city with different types of people. Navigating in a country that doesn’t even vibe in the same headspace as my art/music.

But the biggest obstacle has been myself. my self-doubts, my mental vision for myself, my perspective of the world. We overcome that more and more every day.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a musical artist and owner of a brand called “Us”.

Us is a multi-medium production company whose goal is to help connect art through the world, and bring people like us together. My music is often alternative/lo-fi but recently I’ve been popping out with more RNB/Alternative tracks.

I am most known for my music video “No Attention”, my cave town cover remix of “cut my hair”, and for the art pop events that I host in cities from time to time. I am most proud of the pop – ups because it always is in some way supporting and helping the artists involved, and thats the main mission of “Us”.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Honestly the artistic culture and pulse of the city.

Everything is so purposeful and created that I just love it. The least liked thing is how technology and businesses run the whole thing. The air quality, the light pollution, the high population of just people hustle and bustling for the machine.
