Conversations with Marina Ramirez-Lomeli

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marina Ramirez-Lomeli.

Hi Marina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started in lending with American Savings Bank in 1993-1994. From there, I moved to Century 21 (franchise) Excellence and recently moved to Century 21 Prime Time Realtors. Becoming a Realtor was the necessary progression. Real Estate agents were not moving quickly enough for me to process and fund loans. I took matters into my hands and became a Realtor. A Realtor is held to a higher standard.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not always been smooth. There has been two real estate markets that put me very close to losing my home but it allowed me to sharpen my skills with Short sales and foreclosures. Knowledge is power. You have to always find the silver lining in every challenge that presents itself. Make sure you learn the lesson.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a highly motivated professional dedicated to providing excellent customer satisfaction. I maintain a high standard of work ethic, a flexible and positive attitude while delivering quality service. I communicate effectively in English/Spanish, and am currently learning American Sign language. I represent persons of diverse backgrounds and all levels of personnel. As a Real Estate Executive I perform many tasks including but not limited to studying property listings to become familiar with properties for sale, review trade journals, attend staff and association meetings to keep informed of current marketing conditions. I interview prospective clients to solicit listings. I accompany prospects to property sites, quote purchase price and discuss conditions of sale. I draw up real estate contracts such as deeds, leases, and mortgages and negotiate the sale prices on properties. I negotiate and expedite communication between upper level management as well as general personnel. I handle daily calls. I make every effort to respond within 24 hours or less to emails, text messages, FB and Instagram inquiries. I am always here to serve.

I am known for protecting my client’s best interest at all-time and providing a quality service. I have been the recipient of the Quality Service Award by Century 21(2018 -2019). I am most proud of the following; I was recently (2021) nominated for NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals) Top 250 Latino Agents Awards. The results will be announced May 2021. I was recently notified that I am the recipient of the Quality Service Award from Century 21 in 2020 as well.

In my personal life, I received my Bachelor’s degree in my 50’s. As a parent, there is nothing more wonderful than to have raised two amazing individuals that service the community. My son is a Deputy with Riverside Sheriff Department and my daughter is a (SLPA) Speech language Pathology Assistant in pursuit of her Masters. I have an amazing granddaughter and a grandson on the way. I am living THE good life because life is good and every day is a good day for a GREAT day.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Always put your best foot forward and have a mindset that you are here to serve. That is my motto. I am here to serve. If you need help…ASK FOR IT.
