Conversations with Jordyn Siegel and Jessica Sperling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordyn Siegel and Jessica Sperling.

Jessica and Jordyn grew up in Calabasas together. We met in 4th grade and became best friends. We spent years after high school living far apart but were lucky enough to both end up back in Calabasas raising our children about six years ago. Jordyn’s parents were always in the apparel industry and designed kid’s clothing for many years in the early 2000’s. Jordyn also got the love of a good deal from her mom and would always share with Jess about a great deal especially on cute functional kid’s clothing because they were so hard to find. One day we were hanging around with our kids and it kind of just dawned on us! We should bring adorable clothing to people. A few weeks in, we realized people were really into personalized clothing and gifts and we asked our friend Heather Weissman to join us by personalizing or adding extra “shine” to any items!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We launched January 1st, and the response has been great! Of course, there is a learning curve. We do a “drop” of new items every Sunday, and we are still trying to figure out if this is the best way to bring new inventory to our customers or release new items everyday. We are also trying to grow our ETSY shop and trying to really see which avenue of selling works best. We love working with our customers in the personalization process because it’s almost as if they are designing the items with us!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We sell affordable cute clothing for newborns up to size 14/16. We really wanted to bring those upscale children’s boutique looks to the masses in an affordable way. We also wanted to add our own one of a kind items. So we’ve designed an entire denim jacket line for moms and kids that people are loving. The response has been amazing and we love seeing kids sporting our jackets everywhere! This year has highlighted the importance if giving back. Every month we pick a new charity that supports a different children’s cause (hunger, abuse, neglect, illness, homelessness) and give a portion of sales to that charity! We hope as we grow, we can continue to give more to these organizations. We also want to bring awareness to the public about the many organizations helping children during these most difficult times. In January, we gave back to Prevent Child Abuse America, and this month we are highlighting

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
There are three of us working together now to bring this company to life. We realize how important it is to work together for it to succeed. We all have different responsibilities but work together really well. We also know how important it is to listen to our customers and bring them the items they are really looking for!

  • Most items are below $30
  • Custom denim rages from $49-$60
