Conversations with Jeremy Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Scott.

Hi Jeremy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first got into fitness at the age of 15. I was always a pretty active kid. I loved skateboarding, martial arts, and basketball, or anything physical and extreme when it came to fitness. I saw my body start to respond real fast to basic exercises like push ups, squats and sit ups. I picked up a bodybuilding magazine from the store and started reading the articles on nutrition to see how I can put muscle on a little bit faster.

I studied the magazines day and night, and applied what I was reading and watched my body start to transform. By the age of 16, I was on stage doing my first bodybuilding competition where I would bring home a first place trophy and also won the Overall. I continued as a competitor up until this day where I have now done nine different shows and one of the most recent bringing home another 1st place win in my class. Every day I wake up with more determination and my passion continues to grow daily. Bodybuilding and fitness really changed my life for the better and taught me a lot about hard work, discipline and sacrifice. I apply it to all areas of my life. There’s no doubt that this is one of the keys to having success in my career.

I want to share this passion for fitness that I have to as many other people as possible which is why I became a certified personal trainer and coach. I’ve been helping others change their lives and transform their bodies for 15 years now, and I plan on continuing this as long as possible.

Over the last year, I built up the courage the start my own business as a Master trainer and coach, and since I’ve started there has been nothing but constant growth and progression. Overcoming fear and having the courage to take action and not being scared to fail are just a few of the things that I’ve learned and this has helped me grow and be where I am today. These enable me to successfully run my business every single day and evolve.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t always a smooth road. Some of the struggles I had to face was COVID-19. I was working for years at a large corporate gym which was where I developed my career as a personal trainer and I had to face one of my biggest fears head on. The gym was completely shut down, and I had to figure out a plan B. I was very comfortable where I was and never would have saw this coming. My first reaction was to panic. I soon realized that I can’t panic because it won’t change anything at all. It was time to take a deep breath, set my emotions aside and have faith and trust in God, remember that in life, everything happens for a reason and if you try hard enough, you can find something good out of every single situation. You don’t realize how strong you really are until you’re faced up against a situation like this and you really have to use all of your strength. Step by step, I reset and restarted from the ground up. With hard work, determination, willpower and faith, I wrote down my new plans, goals, and steps thats needed to be taken to make it into a reality and pushed forwards no matter how hard things seemed. There was times where I felt there was no light at the end of the tunnel, but I had to use that inner strength and keep moving forwards without quitting. These kind of situations build true character and strength. If you don’t quit and give up no matter how tough things may seem it will build you up instead of break you down. You’ve got to hold on tight!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I started as a personal trainer and I’ve continued to grow my knowledge and I now have seven different specializations through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. With such a high demand for fitness programs and customized meal plans, I decided to begin training and taking on new clients through my app, and now there is absolutely no limit to the number of people I am able to help as an online coach. I can create amazing fitness plans for people that are highly effective and they give the absolute best results.

I’m proud of the fact that since I started, I show all of my clients that I truly care, and I always show my clients integrity. All of my clients know that I am truly there for them when they need me and I try to always go out of my way to make sure they are getting results. I carefully take time for each client and create an effective customized workout plan for their individual needs.

It’s very important to me to lead by example and show my clients the way. I do my absolute best every day to stay in my best shape and work out as hard as possible so I can be a true leader. I want my clients to be able to follow in my footsteps and I want to show them, not just tell them how to do it.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very artistic, into drawing, and always walking around the house flexing, and wishing and hoping to be the strongest on the planet like the superheroes I was watching on tv. Into my early teen years, I definitely had my struggles and battles with hanging around with the wrong crowd and making some bad choices. In the end, I always learned from all of my mistakes and these were all life lessons that created growth and built character.
