Conversations with the Inspiring Kiara Chambers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Chambers.

Kiara, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always had a love for fashion and style, which I have my mom to thank for that. A few years ago, I had a thought about having a clothing store, but it wasn’t until I saw my sister chasing her dreams of opening a shoe store. That’s when I felt that it was actually possible for me to start my own business that’s centered around things that I love.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a business is fairly easy, but keeping it running is the hard part. Being that, I’m running an online business, it can be challenging to get that consistent traffic flow to my website. My advice to anyone starting a business is to be committed to the process, be consistent and stay positive.

What should we know about Pretty BOLD Boutique? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
So often, you see all the same outfits in clothing stores or online boutiques, but Pretty BOLD Boutique isn’t your every day “boutique”. We pride ourselves in originality, setting trends and offering women with affordable and versatile clothing. We want our BOLD babes to feel like they can create several outfits from items purchased with us. Because let’s face it, were living in a time where it’s normal for people to wear things once.

Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
Absolutely, my parents raised me to be a God fearing woman and taught me the importance of being a hard worker. I’ve always been encouraged to follow my dreams, to set goals for myself and if you start something you better finish it. So, when I decided that I was going to actually start a business, I held on tight to all of the advice and lessons that I was given throughout my life. It’s crazy how life works and the things your parents would do or say to you as a kid that you didn’t want to abide by, are the things we cherish so much as adults. A lot of those lectures from back then is what’s keeping me on the road to success now.
