Conversations with the Inspiring Doreen Cohanim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Doreen Cohanim.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 1999, I was involved in a car accident that caused me feel devastated. I was in a constant pain, couldn’t work, socialize, stand up, seat, walk or sleep. I had a bulging disc that placed pressure on my nerves, leading to serious discomfort and a severe chronic pain. After seeing many specialists, I was recommended to have a bi-weekly steroid injection and if that didn’t help, then to have a spinal back surgery. The trauma was on my L4, L5, L6 spinal that was radiating pain to my legs. Yes, I was miserable and hopeless. Doctors couldn’t help, medications didn’t help, plus, I had a phobia to injection that didn’t make it any easy for me. The bad news was that if I was going to have the surgery, it would have been 20% success, that was not something I was going to take a chance of.

I was afraid and somehow, I was introduced to The Melchizedek Energy Healing Method and Hypnotherapy, believe it or not, I was skeptical, but this was my last resource, and I was healed on the 4th day, not a joke. It happened to me! This is when I believed in the power of the mind and begin studying more about the brain, the conscience, and the subconscious mind. Just imagine the possibilities of your mind being endless…

Limitations live only in our minds… if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless. – Jamie Paolinetti

After I healed from my car accident, I decided to learn more about energy and hypnosis, and I have graduated HMI Hypnosis Motivation Institute with honors.

Ever since I am helping my clients, while I continue taking other training, such as Life Coaching, NLP training, happy foot therapy, the cohanim head energy massage and also studied Psychology at Valley College. Ever since life becomes a series of continuous education. I love helping people to help themselves and as a result, in 2012, I started my nonprofit organization in the area of self-improvement and self-empowerment.

I have been practicing energy healing since 1999 and hypnotherapy since 2004.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client who comes to me with a problem and leaves my office with a solution.

I have much fascinating success story’s from clients who have lost hope and faith but left my place with a big smile and a new beginning. I always tell my clients, life is like a rollercoaster, sometimes, we’re up and sometimes, we are way down below, the good news is, we have our brain to help us reprogram ourselves to deal with each and every challenge faster and better.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had a fantastic childhood and life was never complicated, but circumstances and event took place in my life, that didn’t make sense to me, I was angry, I was frustrated, I resented my luck, I resented my being and I had many questions, like: Why Me, Why Now, Just Why? What did I do, that I deserve so much pain… And it wasn’t about me, it was about learning, growing spiritually, where I learned, that without pain we can’t heal, we can’t grow.

Remember this: sometimes, we come across a fork that makes our life feels like a nightmare. But, if you pay attention, even though life isn’t always easy, we can find love within, we can learn to forgive and heal. I know how it feels when you feel like you were hit by a truck and your happiness fades away in a matter of seconds right in front of your own eyes. But, this feeling is not going to stay forever, because time always heals.

No one prepared us for disaster or a bad nasty and painful trauma, because no one expects that it will happen to us, whether it’s from losing a loved one, getting a divorce, losing your house or you get injured, is shocking, it’s painful. physically and emotionally devastating…

Depression is real when you are lost, but you must never ever give up, and always seek for help because if you don’t, it means you give up and giving up it’s not an option.

Learning, getting help, and getting up faster each time is the option. Don’t ever feel ashamed, and less of yourself because no matter what, it was never your fault.

Love yourself unconditionally and always forgive yourself and others with a big smile. Because you are worthy even more then you think you are.

Having a kind and compassionate family payed a huge role, event-though my parent’s were strict in some areas of my life, they end up doing a great job. Plus having six brothers and one sister helped me as well, because every day was and still is a learning process. We learned from one another.

In my opinion, every family did their very best, good or bad, they still did their very best, that they knew at the time.

When I work with clients, I listen to them, because everyone and every case is unique and must be treated individually.
