Conversations with the Inspiring Cornelia Pauline

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cornelia Pauline.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Cornelia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I was six years old, I founded my first business. It was an ambitious endeavor.

The produce industry called my name. I wreaked havoc on my parents garden.

Plundering, I went… collecting strawberries, cherries from our cherry tree, blueberries & whatever other fruits I could find.

The goal was to sell as many nicely packed fruit bags I could to the Viennese suburbia to be able to finance the brand-new Play-mobile Sailboat collection.

After enlisting my brother – to add his three-year-old cuteness factor to the overall sales process – and one of my best friends, I had a great team going.

The sales exceeded our expectations. The rest is history.

From an early age onward & all throughout my professional violin career that I had in high-school, the various thriving digital businesses that I’ve run, I understand the importance for entrepreneurs to question the status quo.

A passionate cook, coffee connoisseur, avid world traveler and dog lover, I have always enjoyed the finer things in life.

I knew that trading in my time for money at my old corporate job was going against the lifestyle design I envisioned for myself and my family.

So, I quit cold turkey one day after suffering from a panic attack and balling my eyes out simultaneously in the lady’s bathroom of my then corporate job.

With less than $3,000 to her name at the ripe age of 26, California rental prices at an all-time high and an unclear dream in my mind, I set out to figure out how to become my own boss.

I was driven by the desire to make an impact in other people’s lives.

After all, if you’re not making a difference and if your life does not serve a purpose… what’s the point, right?

So, I promised myself I would well… figure things out.

And figure it out, I did.

After identifying a market need in the eCommerce space and due to my commercial modeling background while still in college, I went ahead and founded a product and commercial photography business at first.

14 months later, I discovered that I had a knack for funnel marketing strategies. Not only that, I had been a digital marketing nerd for like the longest time, always adopting the newest platforms in the market.

I identified that my team and I could make the biggest difference, helping people tell their stories better online – which, let’s be honest, are funnels at its very core.

Different communication steps at different stages in the customer/client – purchase journey.

Running a business has always meant FREEDOM to me.

To achieve this kind of freedom as a business owner and entrepreneur,

You need to:
Increase your impact and income online & monetize the processes that got you there.

You also need to make sure to inject your unique brand and social media channels with the right stories.

My passion in life is to help my clients, customers & my tribe create that freedom for themselves and their families.

To live life on their terms.

And so, the digital marketing studio – FunnelGal – was founded in the Spring of 2016.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it wasn’t. Absolutely not.

There were many times where I was close to giving up, throwing in the figurative towel and calling it quits.

I was even looking for another corporate job many times because I had insomnia or cried myself to sleep because of the pressure.

However, I would still not have it any other way.

The reason is that I’m driven by making an impact and building up a legacy.

To me, this quest gives me purpose.

The advice I would give other young women is to first of all, stay themselves. There were many times where I felt like I had to change, that I had to be perfect or, otherwise my clients and my team members would not respect you.

However, you can be vulnerable as a young woman and still be respected.

So, my advice is to be authentic in who you are and to not be afraid to ask for help if you need help.

There will always be someone there that is ready to offer her/his hand for you to take and pull you up to the next stage in this journey.

Though, you have to be serious about your attention and honest.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into FunnelGal story. Tell us more about the business.
My work is all digital which I love because I get to work with people from all around the world, building up to something fantastic. Not only that, I get to travel the world with my family which I always wanted to do.

My team and I work with entrepreneurs and business owners that have a story behind what they do.

They are really good at what it is that they are doing and the partner up with us because they need to figure out a way to translate their story into a message and marketing strategy online that will not only attract the right audience for them but sell their products/services with ease.

Our team is different than other digital marketing and funnel agencies because we have developed a proprietary 3-step system that each of our clients goes through to scale up their business to multiple 6-and-7-figures in revenue online.

Step number 1 is ‘The Foundation’.
This is where we are connecting all of the dots of their business and translate this into a funnel marketing strategy.

Step number 2 is ‘The Framework’.
This is where we do all of the tech stuff because we not only help with strategy but we implement this to give our clients something to work with. We love using BuilderAll and/or Clickfunnels and WordPress as our software of choice.

Step number 3 is ‘The Finishings’.
Now, that we have a complete funnel network set up, this is the step where we turn up the visibility for our clients and directly, increase their revenue. Our strategies include paid and organic social media strategies.

Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
I started learning how to play the violin when I was just 3 years old.

Both of my parents valued music and are musicians in their own right.

I went on to play the violin professionally and at 9 years old, I got accepted to the University Of Music And Performing Arts and there, I studied the violin further as one of the youngest artists ever to be accepted to the school.

With a youth orchestra, I went on to tour Austria and the rest of Europe.

The most important takeaway for me was that I learned how to have iron discipline.

For me, it’s second nature when it comes to being persistent i.e. in reaching out to potential prospects for my business, creating and coming up with cool social media content, etc.

Discipline is something that is super important if you want to be an entrepreneur because the only thing that keeps you going when things are tough or, the thing that will get you out of bed in the morning is your DISCIPLINE and how much you want it.
