Conversations with the Inspiring Bea Cabrera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bea Cabrera.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Bea. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always been a fan of fashion ever since I was a kid. It’s a form of expression that could sometimes be difficult to articulate through words. I’ve always wanted to walk as if I’m Cher from clueless or Elle Woods of legally blonde at the steps of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. I was inspired by their confidence as a woman, how they represent themselves in fashion and how they run the world just by being their own unique self. Pink has always been my color, it represents not only my girly personality but also my passion & charm for one thing. And how can you hate the color pink? It’s too pretty! 💗 I started sharing my “outfits of the day” on Instagram because I saw how people enjoyed doing this fun thing so why not do the same since I love to dress-up and thought my outfits are worth sharing. With my distinctive style and love for pink Instagram became my daily hobby, I became more aware of the travels, fashion and stories that I like to share to people. Loving the appreciation and compliments that I’m getting through social media it slowly became a whole other level for me. I began to be as creative as possible with each and every post. With the growth of my followers and recognition from some people, I started writing stories through my blog to share my ideas, lifestyle and more to people with the common interest. I feel like this thing is more of a hobby and not a job since writing is one of my passions and to live & dress like my icons, write about it and share it to people who acknowledge me is literally the best feeling ever. 🙂

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The only struggle that I had was my own self esteem. I wasn’t confident enough, I had all these insecurities with my look and body that I always feared how people would react to it. Then I realized that it shouldn’t be about them, It should be about me. My social media is about me whether people like it or not. Having people watch my post every day became a challenge instead of an enjoyable thing that I personally should want to share. But the realization came to me that being creative isn’t about pleasing people it’s about one’s passion and dedication. It’s about growing, taking risk, making mistakes & having fun at the same time.

What should we know about Bea Cabrera (The Petticoat Lifestyle)? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Content creation is a responsibility for the contribution of information to any media especially to digital media who targets audience in specific contexts. As of mine, I mainly contribute through blog posts, photography & social media. I’m proud because I’m here doing this thing as a hobby and passion without any expectations.

For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
I believe that there are a lot of opportunities for women out there. There is no particular thing that we women are well positioned for, everything should be opened for us women. Women should have the same privileges and opportunities as men. This generation of women is more empowered and ready to take over the world. 🙂
