Community Highlights: Meet Zahira Pivaral

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zahira Pivaral.

Hi Zahira, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It has not been an easy road to get to where I’m at. I’ve had to go through a lot of pain, hardships and lessons learned to be the REALTOR® that I am today. It’s those things that have made me get the drive, compassion, and desire to serve and help others in my career now. I chose to be a stay-home-mom for about 10 years while my kids were little. During the time of the 2008-2011 recession, we lost both our homes to foreclosure as my husband’s job was directly impacted. We basically became “homeless” for a few times and if it wasn’t for good friends who took us into their homes, who knows what would’ve happened to our family. During the years of the recession, there were hardly any jobs available so it was really rough to find a job for my husband and I. The amounts of stress, tension and frustration we were living took over our family and marriage!

When the kids were in elementary school, I held small part-time jobs here and there for a few hours while the kids were in school. I always loved real estate but I felt it wasn’t for me or the time yet. In addition to the insecurity of being a stay-home mom with no real “work skills” I felt I couldn’t go in that direction. In hindsight, being a stay-home-mom now helps me tremendously with risk management, dealing with others’ stress and helping others emotionally during a transaction.

One day I was able to tap into the industry as part of the administrative support team. I felt right at home and loved the job. I figured that’s as close as I’ll be to what I really liked. I then became the Operations Manager of the brokerage and quickly learned about the ins and outs of the industry, agent recruiting, agent training and the real estate transactions and processes. My husband kept pushing me and supporting me to get my real estate license. He always thought I’d be great at it, so I did.

Along with my faith, personal development training, the support of my Team Leader and my resilience, I’ve been able to do what I love to do: educate and help the consumer with Real Estate!

I am grateful I have this opportunity. Being an agent is not easy because we have a “bad rep” and we are seen as selfish & looking out only for our commission but my guiding light in this career is a quote from the famous Zig Ziglar, “If you help enough people get what they want, you’ll eventually get what you want.” I don’t need to be selfish because I know the rest will follow if I only focus on helping others, so I’m on a mission to help as many people as I possibly can, in a friendly and ethical manner.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in Residential/Multifamily Real Estate and Move Ups (selling of the current home to buy another one).

Buying/Selling Real Estate is an emotional transaction so it can get nasty sometimes. What sets me apart first, before anything else is my ethical and friendly way of dealing with my clients. I tell things like they are and not try to convince anyone of anything. That’s not my job. In addition, having great relationships with other agents and brokers is a plus so I help my clients by keeping great and friendly relationships with other agents as well.

Additionally, I have a team in which each member specializes in an area of the real estate transaction and gets things done with excellence. That way I don’t have to wear 20 hats but focus on serving and connecting with my clients as well as negotiating on their behalf the best I can without distractions!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t be where I’m at without the support of my husband Miguel Pivaral. He is also a great businessman that helps protect families and his emotional support and help at home have been immeasurable! He was the first to believe in me and I am thankful for that!

Professionally in this industry, I owe it all to Craig Chastain. He’s my Team Leader, His training, help, friendship and support from the moment I joined Next Level Realty in Rancho Cucamonga, have been priceless.

I want to thank my eXp leaders as well, Don Mowery and Jesse Zagorsky for all their training & time spent creating good content to make us the best agents we can be!

Finally, I want to thank Jon Storey. Since I joined his coaching I have grown so much and I continue to do so as a person as well as in my business.
