Today we’d like to introduce you to Marta Han.
Hi Marta, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m an Aviva Method coach, a yoga teacher, a former competitive ballroom dancer, and currently a health coach intern at IIN. I’m very passionate about women’s health and wellness. I was born and raised in Hungary and have a BA in economics. I have always been interested in movement and holistic healing. I lived in London for many years where I was lucky to find a handful of amazing yoga mentors (Celest Pereira, Mercedes Ngoh, and Nova Milesko).
With their guidance, I became a certified yoga teacher, which has brought lots of joy and healing to my life. I have always struggled with hormonal imbalance, and so I was looking for a more natural solution to my issues. I traveled back to Hungary where I became a certified Aviva Method instructor. The Aviva Method is a holistic approach that balances hormones naturally. The method has helped me tremendously and I wanted to bring it back to the US to support women with similar problems. It has been a very rewarding journey, seeing people address amenorrhea, PCOS, and a wide range or hormonal issues naturally.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, not really. Even though the Aviva Method is a time-tested practice in Europe and Israel, it is relatively new in the USA. I always emphasize that the Aviva Method has been researched and developed over the past 28 years. It works, but people need to be patient and be willing to commit to the program in order to see results!! This is not a magic pill that you take and that “fixes” you in one day. You need to do the set of exercises twice a week and be willing to make some basic nutritional and lifestyle changes in order to reap the benefits of the method. People who commit to it are very happy with the result.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I created my company and brand Aviva Flow in 2017. The Aviva Method is a holistic way to balance hormones. It can help regulate your menstrual cycle, stimulate ovulation, boost fertility, and generally help with the symptoms of menopause. My initial goal was to focus on women who struggle with unexplained infertility, but I ended up working with people who needed help with their menstrual cycle irregularities, PCOS problems, or recovery after gynecological surgery. While working with women, I realized there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding menstruation and fertility. I also felt a need to go more in depth in the areas of nutrition and stress management which many times are the root causes of infertility and hormonal imbalance. My goal is to build awareness and bring this knowledge and method to women in their 20s, 30s and 40s, as well as to teenagers who can start early to build more body awareness and make better choices for themselves.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think there is definitely a movement in the right direction. More and more people are turning toward natural and holistic solutions. Thanks to many integrative doctors who speak up on social media, women have a greater chance of getting educated properly about how their bodies work. Many health professionals, fertility coaches, and doulas are bringing awareness to menstruation, nutrition, stress management, as well as the harmful effects of the pill and other pharmacological approaches. As a result, more and more women have started to have more open conversations about reproductive health.
