Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenylyn Ball.
Hi Jenylyn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Before I went to school for esthetics, I was always curious about how skin care works and what are the most effective things that could be done to stay looking young, but in a healthier way. So when I became an esthetician, I looked for ways to practice esthetics in a non-invasive way.
My specialty is the Harisienne Facial. It is a Japanese technique that only a handful of technicians in the US are trained in.
I love to learn and I always invest in classes to learn more and be better at what I do.
While practicing esthetics, I also wanted to give better massages, so, I went to school for massage therapy and from there, it just made everything I do so much better. I gained a better understanding of anatomy and massage therapy gave me ways to understand the benefits of lymphatic drainage, which is in demand right now.
In my practice, I’ve been able to meet people who introduced me to influential clients. My friend and client Emi Kudo, one of the top manicurists in the world, introduced me to Freida Pinto. Frieda enjoyed my treatments enough that she then introduced me to other friends of hers and from that word of mouth, I met other celebrities and influencers that also love my expertise; Harisienne Facial and lymphatic drainage.
I wanted to have a space where I can receive my clients and new clients with grace and integrity while providing safe space, so I recently opened my new location in Beverly Hills.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wish I could say that it has been, but I’ve definitely faced challenges, especially when COVID arrived. I know it was the same for everyone, when regulations and rules changed, it was not easy to keep up. Hopefully, it will be behind us soon.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My practice specializes on Harisienne Facial and Lymphatic drainage.
Celebrities and affluent clients love my Harisienne Facial and lymphatic drainage session. Harisienne Facial consist of
Lymphatic drainage of the face, neck and head. It helps sculpt and tone by stimulating more than 31 muscles on the face, stimulation of the acupressure points in the area helps with over all Balance and wellness.
The Harisienne facial is popular in Paris and Tokyo.
Lymphatic drainage has been in demand lately as more people become aware of its benefits through Social Media, it’s been the go to of celebrities and influencers to help them look slimmer.
Aside from the two things I mentioned, my practice (Halo Skin and Body) offers massage therapy, body wrap, fascia blasting and I also work with other practitioners who work in modalities that I don’t, such as energy work, sound healing or shamanic reading.
I have a team as well that I’ve put together in which we provide group and/or event packages.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I believe it is easy to learn the basics of anything you want nowadays, but finding a true mentor is a gift so stay focused and know what you want and you’ll find it.
For networking what worked for me is word of mouth and social media.
