Check out Wyatt Barner’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wyatt Barner.

Wyatt, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
My art is my way of observing and processing the world around me and my life experiences and expressing it visually in an effort to create beauty and discover more about myself as well as the world around me and all it harbors.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My artwork is very much an expression of me as a being and what I think and feel. Because of this my art is something that is very personal to me and reflects me in a very deep way. I have always loved the other forms of life in this planet so I mainly use them as subjects. I also have a special place in my heart for mythology systems, particularly Greek, and enjoy studying and conveying them through my art as well.

The sterotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
I think this varies on the artist, what they were born into, and their passion. I personally was not born into wealth, in fact, quite the opposite. Because of this I have felt the financial strains of supporting myself from a younger age than most. I always work a full-time job and work at night. That will make it so much sweeter for me when I am able to live comfortably off of my art alone. If you have the passion to pursue your love and craft, no financial dilemma will stop you.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I sell predominantly through my website though I show intermittently in galleries as well. My work can be found on my site.
