Check Out Tracey Lynn Conrad’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracey Lynn Conrad.

Tracey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up on the East Coast, spent the past 25 years in the Midwest, and moved to the West Coast in 2019. I like to say I am an East Coast girl with Midwest values 🙂 My childhood years and high school years were very focused on sports. I attended The Ohio State University where my interests switched more to the arts. After college, I eventually moved to Cincinnati where I quickly became involved with the nonprofit and arts scene there. I served on the young professional boards of several organizations and also founded my own nonprofit. I dedicated over ten years of volunteer service to Cincinnati organizations. During this time, I also raised my daughter who found her passion was for the arts too and is now a professional ballet dancer. When my daughter turned 18, I had planned to leave Ohio and move to NYC. I had been talking about moving to NYC for as long as I can remember but then an amazing opportunity came along that changed my plan and brought me here to CA. A friend of mine founded a wine company and was in need of a Sales & Client Relationship Manager to support the launch of distribution here in California. WineSociety™ was founded by combining art design and a passion for wine so it was a perfect fit for me as a lover of both!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am very fortunate that my time in LA has been smooth so far. The only tough part is that I am an extreme extrovert so I really miss being out and around other people. I had only lived in LA for nine months before the Covid lockdown so I haven’t got the chance to explore all the different areas of LA. There is so much I want to do and see! I also am looking forward to meeting new people. I was lucky to meet some new friends right when I moved here and I have amazing friends and family all over the country so Virtual Happy Hours have saved the day! I also have my beautiful daughter, my loving and supportive boyfriend, and my sweet puppy that kept me smiling and entertained each day during the lockdowns.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the Sales & Client Relationship Manager for WineSociety™. We are an award-winning Napa-based, woman-owned (WBENC-Certified-WBE) company that produces Premium California wines in our signature bottle alternative format. Our 500mL cans are 2/3 of a bottle (perfect for sharing or enjoying solo) inspired by the 1/2 carafe in Europe. We will also be launching our new 250ml cans in April. What sets us apart from others is QUALITY! We are the FIRST can wine in history to receive a 90+ score – Top tier rating! As the Sales & Client Relationship Manager, I spend most of my time interacting directly with people. I love the social aspect of the wine industry! When I moved to LA in June of 2019, I immediately began traveling all over Southern California sharing our story. It has been amazing being part of a woman-owned company and feeling all of the love and support from other business owners and customers who want to buy woman-owned. It is very important to our company to do our part to help the environment so we package our wines in eco-friendly cans that are easier to recycle. Being part of a new sector in the wine industry has offered me the opportunity to educate wine consumers. We put our premium wines in cans because cans have a lower carbon footprint, they protect the wine from light, there is no breakage or cork fail, and our wines can go where bottles can’t! We are so excited to continue to grow as a leader in the canned wine industry. Locations to find our blends TEMPT™, FATE™, CHANCE™ and CHANCE BUBBLES™ can be found on our website. Grab a can, pour in a glass and enjoy!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in being a good person and surrounding yourself with good people. I believe if you give to others without expectations then opportunities will come your way. It is important to learn from all of your decisions and try not to focus on what may seem like a “mistake” because it all makes you the person you are today. I am so happy living here in LA and I am so thankful for all of the experiences in my life that got me here. Cheers!
