Today we’d like to introduce you to Topher.

Tell us about yourself and your journey so far.
I did a bit of theatre as a kid then got into video, journalism, and fashion in high school. In college, I began to dabble in film, so the arts was pretty consistent in my life growing up. Working in multiple fields allowed me to explore lots of unique experiences which helped me narrow down what I was really passionate about, which is fashion. The best part about working in a creative field is that you get to meet lots of talented people. I was very fortunate enough to meet and make new friends with similar passions, which ultimately helped kick start our digital fashion magazine, toph&her.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I did some work behind the camera, but most of my experience was in front of the lens. From print to film and TV, I got to try a diverse set of projects on various scales. Everything I did was about telling a story, so I wanted to bring that into fashion. My friends and I were always snapping photos of our daily looks and sharing them within our limited circle, but we thought it would be more fulfilling to share these looks and the stories behind them with the world.

Do you think conditions are generally improving for artists?
Absolutely. Today, there are a ton of platforms for artists and creatives to share their work with the world. My friend Oscar, who is also the photo editor of toph&her, is able to promote his photography in the magazine. Another good friend, Nic, who has no background in fashion but a great deal of knowledge in this field, is still able to write articles and share them online. The internet has become an outlet that anyone can use to connect with the world and get their work out there.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
