Check Out Sasha Johnson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Johnson.

Hi Sasha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out with my business in Montgomery, Al, which is where I am from. I was going through tough times as a single mother and I realized that there were other single mothers out there in need of support. I also decided that I was not going to let anything stop me and I gained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I then wanted to not only help individuals through conferences and financial support, but I also knew the importance of mental support.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it was really hard. I have been on government assistance and struggled to pay my own bills as a single mother. I went through an abusive marriage and I also battled with myself. I feel like I was unable to achieve my own goals as if I did not deserve it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am currently a licensed professional counselor, behavioral health coach, author, radio host, a college educator and I wear many other hats. I specialize in relationships, trauma and divorce. I am most proud of my relationship with myself and with my sons. What sets me apart is that I understand that without the proper relationship with myself, I will not be able to reach my full potential and I chose not to let myself down anymore.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I published a book called “It’s a losing battle but I won”, last year that talks more about my struggles and how I overcame them. I am currently working on the release of a new book called “Our Body’s Thirst for Gratitude, Love and Freedom”.
