Check Out Reverend Kristina Marie Garnett’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reverend Kristina Marie Garnett.

Hi Reverend Kristina Marie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I came into this world with a knowing—an old soul coming into this physical realm in a baby body. Between the ages of 6 and 13, my dad would take me with him to metaphysical lectures here in Los Angeles. I was so fascinated by this Universe–the magic of food as medicine, the origin and history of animals, words as spells, crystal healing, and all other topics surrounding energy and its direct influence on our experience as spirit beings in human bodies. I loved reading books on how to do Palmistry on my friends, researching special herbs to use to heal ailments, and crocheting mini-purses out of multi-colored yarn to sell for $5 to my friends at school. At the same time, I was enjoying my classical violin, piano, and vocal training and dancing six days a week at the Lula Washington Dance Theater. I was always surrounded by beautiful music of all genres and I have my father to thank for that. My world was full of magic and when I booked my first ever performance job as Young Nala in the Lion King at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood (2001), I was bit by the theater bug. Now, I am so honored to combine my years of learning and training (and Being!) to provide unique healing offerings for the alignment of the Mind, Body, and Spirit. I provide emotional and physical relief with the transmittance of Reiki Life Force Energy, I create Medicine Music to aid us through life’s transitions, I design and hand-sew garments with clients as a ceremony to embody self-love, I teach groundedness with my guided meditation and movement practices, and I serve as a consultant to those with any ideas, concerns, confusion, or anyone else looking for guidance on their next steps with their business/love/romance/self-healing/life changes/spiritual growth and all else with the assistance of my psychic ability and divination. Also! I graduated from UCLA in 2013 with a Major in World Arts and Cultures; Dance and a Double Minor in Visual and Performing Arts Education & Spanish. Go Bruins!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If the road was smooth, we would never learn what we need to know. Contrast is part of creation. I experienced a lot of confusing trauma from family members, peers at school, teachers, all kinds of places…..and to all of them I say, Thank You! Each person is here in this life experience to be the person they are so that we can be who we are. There were times where teachers excluded me out of projects because they didn’t want the other students (and parents) to feel upstaged by my abilities. There were times when people in my family made hurtful comments to try and make me feel small or embarrassed about who I was… and these are all opportunities for growth! I am able to stand confidently in my light and be the person that I am BECAUSE of the bumps in the road. Just like the rubber band has to be pulled backward before it is released and flying forward in the wind toward its target, we must be flexible and ride with the directions we are being pulled because nothing happens by mistake.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a holistic healer with emphasis on WHOLE. I specialize in unifying the Mind, Body, and Spirit by recalibrating your physical, emotional, and etheric body with specific healing practices that I’ve developed. I work with clients to heal their bodies from past trauma, open their hearts to receive the blessings of this Universe, move their bodies to get grounded into the present moment, encourage expansion through meditation, and reignite the flame that is the personal power, confidence, shine, and charm that lives deeply within all of us. All of my healing offerings are multi-sensory, so your entire being is engaged throughout our process together, even though it feels like the deepest relaxation you’ve ever had. I am most proud of incorporating my original musical compositions into my healing practice! It is so fun to create and move energy with sound and it has been deeply healing in my personal journey. All of my healing services are channeled through research coupled with life experience. What sets me apart from others is that I only offer services that I have cultivated a strong relationship with in my own life. I get to exist on this planet as living proof of what can happen if you show up fully and dedicate yourself to your own healing. My healing is powerful and because of this, I really dedicate time to build meaningful relationships with my clients–Life is challenging and we don’t have to go through it by ourselves. I am honored to be a guide and hold your hand through whatever you’re experiencing and I am grateful to support you with the tools that have worked for me.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the DIVERSITY of Los Angeles. I love that 20 minutes driving in any direction, you’re already in another atmosphere. My partner and I love to take long drives to wherever the road takes us. It’s a really fun and beautiful way to receive a change of scenery and perspective shift whenever we want it. There’s honestly nothing I dislike about LA. It’s a unique place and I really honor it.

  • My healing offerings are mostly by donation (!!) so that’s super exciting! My emphasis is on ACCESSIBLE HEALING so pay what you can! <3
