Check out Pettros’ Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pettros.

Pettros, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I was a Freshman in College at Anna Maria College in western Mass studying Fire Science. My first year at school, I got kicked out for smoking weed, I never ended up telling my parents. I ended up finishing the school year sleeping in my car and sometimes the piano hall if the janitors didn’t kick me out. Right after my first year of college, I decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry. I’ve remained an independent recording artist/producer/writer and I have had the pleasure of working with some of our favorite multi-platinum Artists such as Mike Posner, Blackbear, Machine Gun Kelly, and more. I’ve always found more pleasure in writing and producing for other artists. But I always enjoy releasing music as Pettros the artist as long as creativity is not sacrificed for the sake of being relevant. I have released five different compilation projects as Pettros and I plan to release more as I experience more life and new changes.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
When I release a project or create a song I speak on what is going on in my life. Sometimes it could be a message to someone or myself. The message is the constant battle of being stuck in and out of love. Failing to find someone who has the intention of sustaining a relationship leaves me with a bitter taste of love. Most of my works walk the line of hating and loving relationships with my closest girlfriends, family & friends. Growing older and wiser but yet still constantly fighting anxiety and depression, my project Sweet Hearts is filled with songs talking about how I cope with being alone and stuck in my own head.

What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
I feel like the word success is made up, its like a pressure we put on ourselves to get to a certain level of status or something. Is it enough money that makes u success, is it enough followers that makes success, or how big your house is? I think my version of success is the happiness and joy I feel every day to be capable of creating something from nothing whenever I want. A couple of Grammy’s would be nice too! I will always remain a student to my craft always looking to expand and learn new ways to improve my creative process.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
Pettros is on all platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and your mom’s tape cassette. If you want to support my work, please stream every day, keep on repeat while you sleep so I can eat and make more music!
