Check Out Summer White’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Summer White.

Hi Summer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the owner of SaddityBrowz and I am based in Los Angeles where I was born and raised. I started SaddityBrowz in December of 2020 not knowing how it would go just went out on faith. Growing up, I’ve always done my eyebrows due to me having thin eyebrows so it wasn’t a foreign thing for me to start up a business on. One day I told my older brother Jeromy about how I was looking into Microblading and we found multiple schools and instructors for me to look into, well I found one and I never looked back since & here I am now. After I got my Certificate of Registration from LA county, I was set. I then went on to being an assistant Master Microblading coach for a studio called Fussy Brows. I then went on to venture out for myself which is SaddityBrowz, I specialize in Microblading and Eyebrow tinting and have lately picked on to lashing as well. For me, eyebrows are everything they make or break you and I want all my girls out there to pop! With this business, I just wanted to have something for the girls especially the ones like me with little to no eyebrows but, I don’t discriminate. I love my thick eyebrow girls too I can do it all. I love what I do and I love to see my clients walking out happy feeling beautiful. It’s only up from here and I’m only progressing day by day and I’m very excited for what the future holds for SaddityBrowz.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been pretty good but I struggled in the beginning mostly with mapping. When doing eyebrows professionally, you always want to make sure you map your client’s eyebrows because you want them to match even tho eyebrows are not twins and are sisters, we still want symmetrical brows and you don’t want to cheat your clients by eyeballing it or just trying to buy time. I struggled so much that I was ready to give up because I felt I would never get it. With countless practice on dolls my iPad and even my family and friends, I got it down pack. Microblading also isn’t a smooth talent either because you’re tattooing the eyebrow. Even though it is semi-permanent ink, it can be nerve-racking at first but, with my determination and resilience, I got through those obstacles and now can look back at them and be proud of where I am now.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in Microblading and Tinting which are procedures to help enhance the eyebrow. Microblading is a procedure done with a blade where we make thin crisp cuts to give an illusion of an eyebrow hair which is done with semi-permanent ink. Tinting is a procedure done with semi-permanent dye to enhance the look or shape of your brows and gives you more of a makeup look. As of lately, I’m more known for my tinting of the eyebrow. Nonetheless, I am proud of myself and that I never gave up and I said I wanted to start this and I meant it. It’s personal for me because I am one of those people who like to start things and not finish it but with this, it was different. I felt like this was something I should have been doing. What sets me apart from others is my resilience even when I wasn’t getting clients to book, I practiced on whoever I could I just could not give up. For me, it’s not about the money for me it’s the art of making something out of nothing which is why I like to take step by step videos to show my process and how I map and come up with these great brows it’s really an art for me and I surprise myself everyday with my progress.

What makes you happy?
What truly makes me happy is not only these ladies booking with me and trusting me with their face is them getting up and actually really loving their eyebrows. Who likes to pay for something they don’t like and on their face at that so I try my best with every client because I love to see them happy with my work.
