Check Out Stephanie Hanno’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Hanno.

Stephanie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always loved taking photographs whenever I traveled to have a tangible memory of my experiences. It was always just a hobby for me never really thought about making it my career until I took a photography course in college to learn about my camera more, it was then that I decided to make it into my career. I changed majors and became a photography student. I would bring my camera around pretty much everywhere I went, family events, hanging out with friends, every single time I traveled and practiced any chance I could get. After college, I took some photos of my friend and her boyfriend and I realized I loved capturing love (cheesy, I know) but I absolutely loved capturing their relationship and freezing the moment of love they had for each other. Today I am a wedding and elopement photographer based in LA & OC!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never an easy road starting anything, in the beginning, it was hard not knowing where and how to turn a hobby into a career. With a lot of trial and error, a lot of patience I was able to overcome the impossible, for such instance that I took something that was an interest and fantasy and turned into a hobby throughout the first years getting the feel for it all the way to a passionate career. There are days of feeling burnout as well as Imposter Syndrome. None of this was possible without the opportunities, mistakes, and successes and tricks and of course major thank you to the people that trusted to work with me and supported me every step of the way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I absolutely love being a photographer and living the dream of being able to record such special and important memories for my clients. I specialize in couples and creating stories in their journey of love (your favorite third wheel). My photography style is natural, candid, romantic, and airy. I capture you’re most authentic self with guidance in order get your happiness in a photograph. I love capturing feelings and this is done by making the couple have fun and living in the moment for those timeless photos. My goal is creating a story for them to look back on and creating a fun adventure for them. The connections made through my work is so rewarding and precious is super important to me.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success is defined when my clients are happy with their photographs. It’s very important to me that the client is happy.
