Check Out Priscilla Cruz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Priscilla Cruz.

Hi Priscilla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was in High School I wasn’t sure which route I wanted to go. I wasn’t sure about attending college because of my uncertainty and didn’t want to attend without having a goal. My mother was studying Real Estate for some time and I would always go with her to the library. I remember her checking out some books and I thought it seemed boring at first. The more I informed myself about the industry and the career of being a Realtor, the more I was imagining myself working as one. I’m a people person and I genuinely care about the well-being of others. I found a school to take my courses and I had applied to take my state exam right before the pandemic began. It was a waiting process for a good few months until I was able to apply for my exam. I also enrolled in college at the same time, majoring in Interior Design and certification in Home Staging, which I geared all of my focus to. Eventually, I decided I really needed to shift my focus into studying and passing my RE state exam at the same time. I passed on my second attempt and I signed with KW Studio City beginning of June.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
At times I wish it would have been, but at the same time, I think having a smooth road would possibly lessen my drive to do well. Personally speaking, my mental health and time management skills are what I struggled, and still do, with the most. It’s been tough being able to balance working, school, studying for both school and my state exam, and projects. Real Estate was on the back burner for a while because I originally wanted to finish school and get my Bachelor’s before shifting into Real Estate.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams Studio City and I specialize in Residential Real Estate! What sets me apart from others would be my knowledge in Interior Design and Home Staging which I am able to incorporate in a seller’s home to add more value. As well as studying the market, checking the MLS daily to know my inventory, and research-oriented. I truly believe it is a privilege to help guide someone in selling their home or purchasing one which is why I care so much about a client’s wellbeing.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Being able to develop and implement good time management skills, consistency, dedication, and perseverance. Nothing is built overnight and it is a continuous journey of education.
