Today we’d like to introduce you to Pascal Pristly.
Hi Pascal, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started singing in my high school choir at Birmingham charter high school over here in the valley. In 2017 a year after I graduated, I came out with my first single “switch up” gave me that rush that I wanted to keep doing this. I came to Culver City to woe with this producer/engineer coming out with my hottest single “lonely for you only” first single of mine to be all over platforms bringing me buzz. I connected with a team called Innrcrcl and started writing and recording tracks. I met Jason Strickland who runs the cave LA and after a year, I was signed to his label recording, making music videos, being on podcasts, and going to high-end events. Performing my singles at shows to get our names out there. I was recently featured on one of the artists Kxnny Hxncho. Focused on my new release “choosin’ you” coming soon and a music video.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In this game is never easy always new obstacles to overcome. Being raised without a father figure in my life, my mom raised me and my two sisters alone seeing her struggle to pay bills to keep a roof and food on the table but she hustled. They were always my motivation in this music life, but shortly when I turned 20 I found I was having a kid me and his mother both ended up homeless sleeping in cars, friends and families houses, I tried to stay focus in music but was hard. And when I had my son, I stopped making music for over a year. Adapting into a new hod father good taught me to be patient and focused. When I finally got comfortable to go back to making music that’s all I wanted to do was be a father and make music while working a 9-5. We ended up breaking up me and his mother and we had some complications there down the road to her not able to have him for five months so stopped me again to not make my music. I learned the more you grow in any field new struggles are going to come but it’s what you do with that outcome and how to make it work in your favor and overcome them.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a singer and songwriter. Singing has always been my outlet since I was a kid. And writing was my way of telling my story. I’ve taught other people the proper way to sing. I have writing sessions everyday with other artists and by myself and always feel like a weight has been off my shoulder when I write and then singe what I’ve been holding on and able to let it go.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
