Check Out Juan Nambo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Nambo.

Hi Juan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in Michoacán Mexico, came when I was three, raised in Orange County. Dreamer (DACA) always loved drawing growing up selling my drawings 50 cents at seven years old to buy chips since we didn’t have much. Grew up with siblings and no parents made it tough, art really became my passion, started doing portraits early freshmen. Sold commissions and murals for a living. Now tattooing for a living and accomplished a lot of great work with only a year and a half of tattooing. I do Chicano-style tattoos, I’ve tattooed celebrities, singers, influencers and sold art to ex-lakers player Kyle Kuzma. Anything is possible no matter where you come from or what you look like. Doing something I love and what the future holds.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Immigration, grew up with no parents, moving from relatives back in forth. Grew up in a poor home with nothing much which made me independent and hardworking. Figuring it out on my own and not giving up. Doing what I love and making it out.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a full-time tattoo artist, I do Chicano style, realism, and fineline tattoos I also commission large size charcoal portrait paintings size 40x30inches.

I also do murals size 10 ft x 10ft.

Not a lot of people do large-size portraits or good tattoos.

I’m proud of doing this type of professional art at a young age and will continue to get my name and work out international.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Asking other artists, and business owners, influenced era how they did it. Be active on Social media, consistent in my work, and do great, execute every work with all I got.
