Check Out Joyce Abouchaaya’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joyce Abouchaaya.

Hi Joyce, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My husband and I always had a dream of starting a neighbourhood mom and pop shop. We both left our careers to give this our all, I was even a practicing mechanical engineer until we opened Float. It’s been a very exciting journey so far. We’ve grown slowly but surely and we look forward to many years of being the neighborhood joint where everyone comes for great service, coffee food and more!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Covid and the shutdowns took a great toll on our business. But we’re bouncing back. We never thought for a moment to give up on our family enterprise.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up in the country Lebanon. My husband is a Los Angeles native. I moved out here as soon as got married.
