Check Out Jillian Tuttle & Samara Thiessen’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Tuttle & Samara Thiessen.

Jillian & Samara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are both yoga instructors and moms to young children. After having pandemic babies, we met teaching at the same yoga studio. Soon after, we joined forces with our shared love of yoga and motherhood to host pop-up yoga events in the area to bring the community together. Our goal is to bring people together, especially those who want to do yoga, but might feel intimidated or can’t afford to join a boutique studio. We are bringing the studio experience to local parks and retailers!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely, Covid has been a big factor with gathering in groups. Majority of our events take place outdoors which actually works best. That way we are able to allow more people to attend, less worry, and get that sunshine and fresh air while we flow together. We’re really fortunate to live in Southern California where we can take advantage of the weather all year round!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are young moms and yoga instructors. Our goal is to create a community on and off the yoga mat as we approach everyday life with intention, humor, authenticity, and self-love. We want to encourage people to embrace the reality of the season they are in, and not to compare or wish it away.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We whole heartedly agree that no risk- no reward, and also the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. There is always a risk when starting a new venture but with the right mindset and consistency, and being able to push through any setbacks, there is less room for failure.
