Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Barlett.

Hi Jamie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I never thought I would start my own business but having worked for large companies for many years, I was tired of seeing how hard it was to make changes and get buy in from other team members. I thought about what would be a critical problem I wanted to go out and be able to solve. I grew up with a father who was in banking and I had learned about how terrible the payment processing space was for customers. There was nothing but terrible support, over the top pricing and little regard for the customer. I decided I wanted to step into the industry and be the complete antithesis of that – someone with high-touch customer support, clear, transparent and cost-effective pricing and keeping the customer in mind all the time. That’s how I founded PolyPay nine years ago and it is still how we operate today. We still have our first customer!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As an entrepreneur, there are always challenges. We have seen a handful of team members come and go when you don’t see eye to eye or they do not embody the mission you have for the business. We have partnered with companies that we thought were on the same page as us but it quickly became apparent they were not. Our reputation is of utmost importance to us and we will not allow anything or anyone to sully that.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
PolyPay offers payment processing solutions for all types of businesses so that they can accept credit card payments from customers. Whether they are a traditional brick and mortar business, or have an eCommerce site, or need to take payments on their phone or other mobile device, we can provide them with that capability. We believe in cost-effective and transparent pricing and the best customer support and education possible. Our customers always come first and we are available whenever they need us. We understand that not all businesses are open from 9 AM to 5 PM and we want to be there whenever they need support.
