Check out Melt Mars’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melt Mars.

Melt Mars, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Melt Mars, is the brainchild of SoCal resident Brian Ortiz(Singer/Guitar). After recruiting Juan Norato(Drums) to record the five-song EP “Gimmicks”, Darnell Calderon(Bass) & Eric Nguyen(Guitar/Keys) joined to create the Four Piece Indie-Psych Rock act. Together, they bring sounds that seemed to be lost in the past, to the modern era.

We’d love to hear more about your art.
We hope to capture all the sounds and emotions we feel would connect with people. Some songs can be simple and easy to listen to, where others might be layered with melodies. We would just be happy with an audience that can take our work and take it in however they choose to see it. Our artwork is just music we feel can blend and make what we would like to “Melt Mars”.

The stereotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
DIY. Most of what we do is DIY. Surround yourself with the right people that see the same vision that you do. Of course, dropping a bit of money wouldn’t hurt either but believing in your work is worth every penny spent to get it out there!

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
We are on most all major streaming platforms. If people enjoy what they hear, and decide that we are worth the listen, then that’s more than what we could ask for. We are truly grateful for all the support so far.
